First off, I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this Kroger. I would like to reiterate, this particular Kroger only. I came shopping tonight for several items spanning across different categories. Food, drinks, school supplies, and all kinds of other essentials. Kroger has a lot of construction inside right now and it is very loud, especially by the freezer isles. Several employees saw me and even greeted me without saying a word about the store being closed. I came up to check out, and these two ladies that are in the picture told me that I should have listened to the announcements that were being made about the store closing. I apologized and let them know that I could hardly hear them talking and no possible way could hear any announcements due to how loud it was in the store. There was a self-checkout still open, which I was directed to check-out at, by a male Kroger employee that I passed by on the way to the front. The ladies both refuse to let me check out and kept shaking their heads at me. I apologize once again and asked once again if I could check out on the open self-checkout register that I was standing right next to, which they both once again refused. I marked my basket in the picture, which you can tell is full. They both been started walking me towards the front and said the front door should be open, which it was not. The gentleman who ended up having the keys to the front door, was the same Kroger employee I passed on the way to the checkout, who let me know that I could self-checkout on the last open register. I let him know this was completely ridiculous, and he said that he can't wait to get out of this mess. I was in Kroger for about 2 hours shopping, and they had some insane clearance deals that I had in my basket. You can believe that this same review will be sent to management and above. This is my first issue with Kroger, but this is not my normal...
Read moreThis is one of my favorite grocery stores; I've been shopping there for years. But there are two people who have made my experience there EXCEPTIONALLY wonderful- Ms. Veda and Atienne, who is one of the Assistant Store Managers.
Ms. Veda is one of the most gregarious, kind, customer friendly person that you can meet! She never meets a stranger and she is very kind to everyone who comes through her line.
There have been many times where I have waited longer, behind people with very full shopping carts, just to go through her line just because she is so wonderful. She has been one of the reasons why I go so often and do not mind waiting. She is absolutely fantastic!
Atienne helped me through a horrible situation when a friend scheduled the wrong pickup day for some very essential items that were needed that day but scheduled for the next day's pick-up because I was waiting for my new bank card. She made sure that I was able to pick up the items despite the barriers and challenges that existed.
There is also a young lady who works the customer service desk, in not sure of her name but she's very friendly as well.
One thing that I do not like is that they have closed more of the registers in favor of self checkout, and that's the part of the process that I think makes the experience. This reduction of staff often results in higher wait time because there may only be one or two registers open, and I can tell that many people share my sentiments because they also wait in the line rather than doing self checkout.
The store is very clean and it's easy and logical to find what you need. The prices are good but you have to make sure that you download the app and get all the digital coupons! But don't wait until the day that deals end because they often run out of items on the last day because everyone thinks...
Read moreIf I could give negative stars I would! This store has gone down so much. Employee (Linda) is rude and disrespectful! I stopped shopping here a year ago because of the lack of customer service and today I o my stopped in because I only need to grab a handful of items. Big mistake. I got my items and went to the customer service counter to get lottery tickets. There was no one there and I waited 10 minutes. I know because I texted my daughter to let her know I would pick her up in a few minutes and that was at 2:30. There were employees that saw me waiting and didnât offer assistance which was not a big deal to me because I know it was not their dept. The lady that got in line behind me left, another lady said, âthis is pitifulâ thatâs when I saw Linda and politely asked her if anyone was working the customer service counter. Well clearly that was a bad move because Linda exclaimed rather loudly, â SHE IS HELPING SOMEONE! YOU HAVE TO BE PATIENT! YOU GUYS ARE NOT HER ONLY CUSTOMERS!â I was offended because I was not rude or mean nor did I loud talk her. I just asked a question. At that point I did tell her that I have been patient because I had been waiting for 10 minutes. Linda proceeded to walk down the line saying people are so impatient and then stopped at the back of the line to giggle with a Caucasian fellow and look right as me as she continued to go on about how impatient people were. I will.NEVER go to Kroger again. Rude, and disrespectful employees give the store a bad experience rating. Consumers have a choice as to where they spend their money so treat the...
