Just in case yall were wondering why the police showed up to the theater last night. We arrived around 10pm to catch our movie when we spotted the 50+ teen crowd outside the movie theater. As we approached the theater you could hear yelling and teens running on the street and the theater. The situation was a ticking time bomb since a big fight broke out. The fight lasted about 5 minutes before MCPD showed up. This resulted in all the teens running back into the movie theater. As we went in you could heard them being loud and bragging about the fight. Props to the lady manager who tried her best to deal with the situation. They started checking tickets and kicking out majority of the teens. Cops remained on premises for about 30 min. Some of the teens remained on premises and started grouping up again causing concerns to the movie goers which included kids. You just feel unsafe with everything that happened. So that’s why the cops showed up.

If you were wondering if we got to see our movie the answer is no. We were still willing to watch the movie with everything that just happened, but the food court dropped the ball sadly. They had us waiting 20+ minutes for our food and apparently they mixed up the buzzers or something idk since the whole took our order had it right. I wasnt mad at them, I get it, with everything that had just happened mistakes were bound to happen. I asked the manager if he could refund everything since at that point our movie had started and we didn’t get our order, he dis. Defeated we just went to Wendy’s and called it a night fyi the messed up our nugget order as well lol.

Sad to see how the teens treated upper management and the officers even though they’re the ones who started the problem and couldn’t behave unsupervised. Props to them for handling the situation. With everything that’s going on things could have escalated super quick.

Disgusting experience this evening. Cinema was overrun with teens who were exceedingly disruptive during the movie / talking loudly, walking around, sitting on dividing walls, talking on cell phones, making racial comments, and no intention of being quiet to watch the movie. A member of staff had to come in accompanied by a police officer. They were asked to be quiet & were allowed to remain in the cinema to my surprise. Half way through I went to the restroom and to my horror these same teens were congregating in the hallways like it was a social hangout. Very intimidating and unpleasant. When we left there were two police cars out the front. We did not feel safe; the whole experience was stressful and we were horrified that they were allowed to remain on the premises despite their absolutely disgraceful behavior.
