SUPER-CUTS OF THE DENTAL WORLD !! THEY WERE IN A HURRY. I WAS IN PAIN. THEY RUINED MY DAY!
The visit I had on 03/13/2024 was shocking and disturbing.
As i arrived there seemed to be an issue and I was left standing at the counter for some time. So long that it was awkward and I asked if I should sit. They then rummaged around from person to person and then asked me to come to the payment area and talk. It was clear that they were over booked but this was actually okay as i wanted less work done than expected. We worked it out and I was ushered to the back.
I was in the chair. The attendant hastily and insufficiently applied numbing cream to two of the four necessary areas. While this was happening the dentist came in, he was in a hurry & started to get the syringe ready and immediately after " SHE FAILED TO APPLY THE NUMBING CREAM TO THE AREA " and without any time in between to allow for the effects of the anesthetic to take effect or for me to say anything the dentist hurriedly started the injections. I was thinking wait a minute but trying to be a man and not complain , he did two injections pretty deep directly by my nose in the spot she had "FAILED TO APPLY THE ANESTHETIC". My mouth was not numb in any way! After the third stab I raised my hand showing I was in pain " HE DID NOT IMMEDIATELY STOP"! I can't stress this enough. I raised my hand and he sorta gestured like what? "ONLY AFTER VERBAL SOUNDS OF PAIN DID HE RELENT WITH A FRUSTRATED ANGRY LOOK ON HIS FACE". I addressed the dentist. I told him I was in pain and was clear that I felt they should wait a few minutes to let the area get numb at least a little from the cream."HE SAID NO! IT IS INSTANT! ARGUING AND NOT SYMPATHETIC IN ANY WAY" The assistant then spoke and told me "MANY PLACES DO NOT EVEN USE THE NUMBING CREAM".!!! I had addressed the dentist not her as he is in the position of authority and the guy with the needle, but now I replied to her "Then I would not go there."I said, irritated she would say something so obviously inappropriate . THEN IN A BIZARRE show of misplaced chivalry he puffed up his chest stuck out his chin and started defending the assistant because " SHE WAS A GIRL AND IN NEED OF HIS PROTECTION OBVIOUSLY" This is exactly what he communicated to me. I had not used profanity or raised my voice. From a dentist I expect "A TRULY WISE AND LEVEL HEADED PROFESSIONAL" Like an airline pilot or dare I say a DOCTOR? He was like a line manager at Taco Bell.
Lets stop there and take a breath. What the french toast? I went to the dentist expecting professionalism and standards from a company that by all outward marketing and public facade is supposed to be top of the market. Instead i felt like I was in Tijuana getting a botched cosmetic surgery.
In conclusion. I decided to leave and he never once apologized or tried to show professionalism in any way. This was NOT a bad he was having. He seems to be a proficient dentist. However he is not a professional. He is not kind , sympathetic ,understanding or compassionate to the suffering of the patient. It does not matter why. What matters is Dental work is necessary, expensive somewhat painful and affects our self esteem quality of life and our health. The people that offer care in this area should above all else and always do exactly that....
Read moreAt first, I thought this place was awesome. The first visit everything went smoothly and they gave me a quote and applied for financing for my dental plan. I was told that the financing I was approved for would cover the root canal, crown, periodontal cleanings on both sides, and the 3 fillings I needed and that the only balance remaining after that would be $169. Well after getting the financing through genesis, they took the entire $3000 available balance from the loan. Then I ended up having the tooth pulled instead of a root canal because after all that trouble they informed me that they don't do root canals on molars in their office. So I had to be referred out to a different office that couldn't see me for another 3 weeks while I had already been in pain for 2 weeks. So I told them just pull it. I was told pulling it was also the extremely cheaper alternative so I should have more funds left to later get a partial. Well all they have done since was pull a tooth and they did my whole mouth deep cleaning all at once with NO anesthetic at all. The female doctor told me before she started if it hurt she would stop and numb me but instead she just kept insisting I was fine and that numbing me would be more of a pain but I already knew she just didn't want to numb me because she was ready to go home and that takes more time. So at the end of this all I have is very sore gums and then these people tell me I only have $107 of the $3000 in financing I am paying on left, which doesn't add up since I was told it would be enough to cover the whole treatment plan except $169 and that was with a more expensive procedure. Mind you these people also pulled my tooth without having to sedate me. I could see if I had been sedated but I wasn't they used the same numbing agent they use for fillings to pull my tooth. So where did all the money go? I will not EVER go here again. A pleasant attitude on meeting someone in no way makes up for their highway robbery or lack of compassion when people are in pain. Also I was in way too much pain to waste my time trying to figure out why all this happened after an hour and a half deep cleaning of my whole mouth with no anesthetic and not feeling heard already. So I just left and let them think I was just fine with it because everyone reading this knows as well as I do that once a company has your money, they could care less what kind of experience they provide. These people got an easy $3000 out of me and though they are smooth talkers they are not really what they appear! I really hate I wasted my time...
Read moreI do not recommend anyone come to Aspen Dental in Monroe, as I had a terrible first experience with them. I’m not someone who typically leaves reviews, but since they’ve sent me about ten emails asking for one here it is.
Firstly, the xray tech that began my appointment (Gia I believe it was) was rude and hurt me repeatedly. My mouth was bruised after she repeatedly shoved the xray equipment into my mouth, which is on the small side. Then, she took me to my room to do a 3D scan and purposely bumped my mouth open with the tool she was using instead of asking me to open wider. This was completely unprofessional and honestly just dehumanizing.
Then, I waited a solid 40 minutes to see the dental hygienist who checks my gums, but is also not particularly gentle and is using a very sharp hook tool. She leaves and says the dentist will be in to check my teeth.
The dentist came in, checked my teeth super briefly and said nothing was wrong and the hygienist would be back to come up with a plan for me. It was only then that I learned I was scheduled for a new patient exam, which does not include cleaning. I told every single staff member up to this point that I was here to get them cleaned, so I’m not sure why no one informed me of this until the very end of my appointment, when I specifically had to ask if I would be getting my teeth cleaned that day. The dentist proceeds to say that the dental hygienist might be able to do them “if she has time.” Mind you, I have now been at their office for an hour and 10 minutes. I have never had a dentist appointment last so long with so few things done.
Finally, I ask him to point me to the exit because I would just like to leave, and he walks me to the door. On the way, he keeps pushing me to stop by the desk and schedule my next appointment after I have repeatedly told him I’m good.
I have never been someone who thinks twice before going to the dentist, but thanks to these people I will now be nervous every time I have to see a new provider. If you value your peace of mind, please just don’t go to this place and especially don’t take any minors here. The convenient location is not worth traumatizing yourself or...
