pOpshelf — Local services in Monroe

I went to Popshelf today w/my sis in law and had to rave about our experience!! CUTEST store!! It has a little bit of everything (literally)! Arts and crafts, scrapbooking/journaling/planner supplies, faux flowers, outdoor items including gardening and pillows, organic plants, potters, etc. Toys, dinner ware, food, party supplies, storage, cleaning, health and beauty, animal supplies and seasonal...and so much more! It is so clean and well organized. The prices vary from average (Mrs. Meyers for $4) to unbelievable!!! They have organic, keto friendly and gluten free food. Foods that you find in Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods and Harris Teeter for less than any of those stores! There is a center round about of self checkouts with sturdy bags to fill all our goodies in! There was also an employee there encouraging us to sign up for the rewards program and gifted us a large box of goodies. You could pick from cat, beauty, candles and toys. I chose candle and got 5 of their 3oz yummy smelling candles to try! What a fun surprise!! I cannot rave about it enough! It’s like dollar tree/dollar general but high end. It’s my new fave and will be my go to place from now on! I can’t wait to go with my kiddos and meet up with friends...

I went in to find an item that showed in stock online. Not only was it not in stock, the girliterally scoffed at me and walked away. I approached her politely and said ma'am, I know you might not have then but do you have this item? It shows you might online. And she scoffed at me, said um no, and walked away. Needless to say, I had a very unpleasant experience and hope that management reviews the schedule from today and has a coaching moment with the very rude staff. It's all I could do not to be rude back and just leave the store. But really.. you'd think that I'd have better service that at the monroe walmart. The ladies there at least tried to help me. A younger me would gone ahead and had an altercation. Not having something in stock in understandable. But being rude to a guest, a first time guest, is inexcusable. 1 star oy because that's the minimum. I guess come here if you dont mind them not having what's in stock on line, if you are looking for a badexperience, or if you just need.a...

Wonderful store with great items, but the service was severely lacking. I had several small items (like rings and a dainty necklace) that you could not place into a shopping cart as they would fall out. We were the only people in the store and my mom and I looked around for a few minutes to ask an employee if we could set our small items down, and no employees were anywhere. We set our small items on the corner of the check out desk and Shana promptly showed up to tell us that we cannot set any items there. She said people take photos of the store and they can’t have anything on there. We got a cart and found a way to rig it up so the jewelry wouldn’t fall out.

It’s self checkout and they take cash but it calls an employee to assist. Shana showed up and wouldn’t break my cash bill. I almost left because I didn’t have the correct bills and she didn’t want to check her drawer to see if she had enough cash to make change. I won’t be going back to...
