Five Guys — Restaurant in Monroe

I love Five Guys but unfortunately I need to leave a review about my experience on 7/27/24. I ordered two burgers, fries, and a coke for my husband and I to share. As I was walking to the drink machine to get my drink, another customer who had already been eating at a table nearby came up to me and shared with me that the carbonation was broken on the drink machines. She stated that she informed the staff when she discovered this issue, and said she was surprised that the staff didn’t warn me about the problem before I spent my money on one. I was pretty irritated and would have asked for a refund except that there was already a line formed of new customers and I didn’t want to wait. When I got home with my food, I discovered that the toppings on my husbands burger were correct, but mine had some additional toppings that I had not ordered and did not want. To make matters worse, the fries had so much salt, we wondered if the lid on the salt canister had fallen off and the whole thing was poured on. We are salt lovers, but these were so salty they made our tongues burn. They were inedible. Very very disappointed. We wasted $40 on a meal we could barely eat, which included a tip for staff who didn’t tell me about a faulty...

I am a past patron of this location. The food has always been good in the past and the service friendly. Today’s experience was enough to make me not want to return. Friendly greeting at the counter. We were able to get a table soon after ordering but it took a while to get our food. When we did get our food, the order was wrong. We ordered three burgers, varying toppings and condiments for each, and fries. None of the three burgers were prepared correctly. When I took them back to the counter to get them corrected I was asked, “Do you want us to give you the toppings and you put them on or do you really want us to remake them?”-emphasis on the “really”. So, they remade the burgers. The second time around, they were still incorrect. We did go ahead and eat the burgers this time because now we had waited through two makings and we were ready to eat. We will not be returning anytime soon. I will not keep paying for food that cannot be made correctly the first...

It pains me to write this review because we really enjoy their food and the staff is always so friendly, but unfortunately the last 4 times (in about 5 months time) our order has been wrong. We always to take out and the way they pack the food is a bit difficult to check all the burgers to make sure they are right so we will just not be ordering from this location again. The first 2 incidents they put cheese on a burger we didn't want cheese on and the last 2 times they didn't include bacon on a burger we paid for bacon on. Might not seem like that big of a deal but the way they do orders it is very easy to see what someone ordered and it's a bit ridiculous that they can't seem to make it right. Especially when you pay for something extra they don't include. What a bummer since it is the only five guys in close...
