BUYER BEWARE! It is unfortunate that I am unable to give this business a negative star rating with this review.
My senior mother spent a substantial sum of cash on jewelry at this business on July 23rd. The salesperson, Nikita, assured my mother that the items were 14K gold. After the purchase, my mother discovered the items were only 10K gold. The sale price was indeed too good to be true. The receipt lacked any detail of the items purchased beyond âcash saleâ.
When confronted, Hall Jewelers offered only a store credit as "all sales are final with no refunds". Following the initial deceitful sale, my mother lost all trust in the business and insisted on a refund.
After a few additional phone calls today, one of their employees advised that the refund request will be honored. Upon my mother's arrival, the store manager refused the refund, contradicting what she told an hour prior. During their discussion, he prominently and repeatedly declared that he was a 'Christian'. He offered her store credit or an exchange but refused a refund. He was also quick to inform her that if she took this to small claims court, it would be his word against hers and that his employee "never informed her that a refund was approved". If such shady business practice and behavior is 'Christian', then I must have missed a sermon. After some rather heated words, he wore down an elderly woman, leaving her in tears. Feeling beaten by a bully without any recourse, she left the store with some other items hoping to get something for her money.
Unfortunately, as a cash transaction, she is unable to dispute the charges with a credit card company or bank. Anyone considering patronizing this business, please contemplate my mother's experience. Caveat Emptor. Exercise extreme caution and bring a jeweler's loupe with you to verify the item is as described before handing over any payment.
(To the âChristianâ manager of this establishment, hope that St. Peter doesnât review the storeâs security camera video archives on the day of your judgment. Do unto others as you would have them...
Read moreMy 10 year anniversary was 3/19/24 and I had my wifeâs engagement/wedding ring fixed and resized for the celebration. They said it would take 1 week. It has been almost 6 weeks and I finally got the ring back today 4/3/24.
I called multiple times and was given a different answer every time. One lady wouldnât give me any information due to me driving and not having the ticket number. Another, said she would call me back the next day with a status on the ring; the call back never came. I eventually called and tried to escalate the situation and received text messages stating its top priority. It still took 2 weeks after that and they never responded to my texts during that time.
This ring cost me $13,000 dollars brand new and I thought it would be taken with care and also with a little sense of urgency, since the sales women were given a date.
More perspective on this issue is that the Friday before our anniversary, I called and was assured I would have it by my anniversary. The lady with dark brown eyes even said âyes I remember you bothâ. (Probably because we bought other jewelry that day). Their delivery dates are Tuesdayâs and Fridayâs so I wanted to be sure it would be there for me to pick up after work, obviously no luck.
At pickup, there was no remorse or apology whatsoever. There was also no guarantee that the ring was actually fixed. The ring did look brand new though. To top it off she said she was out of ring boxes so I had to take it in a clear baggy.
I would never, for the rest of my life, refer this store to anyone. Buyer beware, youâre in for a disappointing anniversary for...
   Read moreBeware - NO REFUNDS!
When you spend thousands of dollars, don't you want the peace of mind to know that you can return an item? Every other jeweler does refunds.
I bought a bracelet here, didn't even take it home as they kept it to size it. I went home and realized that the stones were smaller than competitors, which would make it look small on my wife's wrist. They originally said it would take 2 weeks to size the bracelet. When I called 1 hour after purchase asking to return the bracelet (which they still had and I never took home), they rushed the sizing in 2 hours and then said "no refunds".
No time during the purchase did the sales person say they had a no refund policy. The only time you know is on the receipt, which you only get AFTER the purchase and by definition it's too late. The manager said they have a sign. I went to the store and verified: they only have 1 sign, a small 1 foot sign with 5 lines of text on their vault away from the register, and buried in that paragraph it says they have a no refund policy. They DO NOT CLEARLY MARK their policy. (the owner is going to reply to this review saying they clearly mark their policy. Don't believe it.)
There are other negative reviews for the same reason. They would solve all of these by having a short return window. The only reason not to do this is because they don't stand by the quality of their products.
Go to Kay Jewelers in the same shopping center. They do refunds. Also, literally all other jewelers do returns. Go...
