EDITED 9/29: The new store manager Carly reached out to try and make it right, so I stopped in to speak to her as well as get my pants marked for hemming since that was not done at purchase. She was there with one of the training managers Jen, and both of them were FANTASTIC! They were very busy, but not once were they rushed or skimped on customer service to try and get to others faster. Both of them had explained that many of the issues that I and so many others had faced were due to previous leadership being pretty much absent and fed into poor employee behavior that was not customer-first. Jen personally did the hemming for my pants so I wouldn't need to wait long or come back again, and rather than looking at the original ad I received, she just gave me 35% off my entire purchase, even for the items that were not included as part of the ad, as well as refunded the charge for hemming. It was a lot more than what I was expecting, and I didn't even ask for all of that! Both of them truly put the customers FIRST and went above and beyond what they needed to in order to provide excellent customer service! I hope their enthusiasm carries through to other employees and has renewed my faith in this location! I recently made a large purchase (about $1300) to prepare for a new job. The service I received that day was great (I believe they said their name was Lucas), though the employee was obviously overwhelmed with customers, and gave me an incorrect date for alterations pickup, but otherwise very knowledgeable and helpful, as I was almost clueless going in. A few days after my purchase I received an email advertising a sale up to 40% some items, which included some things I purchased.
I went back into the store and to say I was "greeted" by a middle-aged Black man (I did not get his name) is being generous, so I could inquire about whether my alterations were done (they struggled to find my alterations, which were not done, I was not aware I was given a slip that gave an estimated date) and about the price adjustment. He seemed bothered that we were there, and even more so after we asked about the price adjustment for the sale, even though I had my receipt and was within a few days. He denied the price adjustment (even if we brought back everything eligible unopened and with tags and repurchased), citing "company policy" and that he might have done it if it was within 24 hours. He proceeded to give a long-winded "justification" as to why, and implied that we were abusing the system and were dishonest, which is why the company does not adjust for sales. In addition, during this same conversation, him and another older female employee (who was on her phone almost the entire time) were complaining to us how the company used to carry better-quality products, and were disgusted at the fact it moved to carrying more modern and casual products such as the cooling fabrics (which I had purchased some) and jeans, and just badmouthing the company and its products directly to us. As a previous retail supervisor and customer, I was incredibly offended by this unprofessional behavior and it has no place on the sales floor, especially in front of, or directed at, customers. While I understand the policy to not do price adjustments for sales is discretionary, the whole situation was handled so grossly unprofessional and offensively. Needless to say, I likely will not return to...
Read moreWe visited Men’s Wearhouse today to get measurements for one of our groomsmen, who will not be in the area for the next few weeks. Upon entering, we were greeted by a bald, middle-aged man who immediately seemed hesitant to assist us—his tone and expression made it clear he didn’t want to be bothered.
When we explained our situation, he told us we couldn’t be helped unless we had the entire group present and had already chosen our suits. The groom was still deciding at the time, but we wanted this particular groomsman measured in advance since work travel would keep him out of town during the fitting for the rest of the group. After some hesitation and convincing, the employee reluctantly agreed to take measurements, saying it would “only take him a few seconds, that’s easy” We began browsing the store but were never acknowledged or offered assistance again despite no one else needing assistance…
I don’t think I’ve ever felt so unwelcome in a place where I had planned to spend money. This is the second negative experience we’ve had with this same gentleman at this location. It’s unclear what role he enjoys playing at this establishment, but serving customers certainly doesn’t seem to be one of them.
To make matters worse, we spoke to another customer who reported the exact same treatment from this same employee, and after reviewing online feedback, it’s clear this is a pattern, not an isolated bad day.
On our previous visit, this same gentleman dismissed the groom’s request to try on all pieces together and rushed through the fitting, recommending sizes that turned out to be too small for both the jacket and pants. We confirmed this after visiting another suit location, where we ultimately decided to purchase.
We will not return to this Men’s Wearhouse and would strongly caution others against shopping at this location - at least when that...
Read moreI went in to get a RENTAL SUIT for my son's wedding. OBVIOUSLY an important occasion right?!? I was getting a SUIT specifically because that's what the Bride and Groom requested. The fitting went well, everyone seemed professional and I left feeling confident about my visit. Fast forward to Wednesday 3 days before the wedding when I got an email telling me that my suit was in and ready to be picked up. I went in on Thursday to try it on and found out it wasn't a SUIT BUT RATHER IT WAS A TUX. I wasn't informed that it wasn't what I ordered and I brought it to their attention. The manager spoke up and said that they discontinued that particular suit and replaced it with this without telling them. The manager was apologetic and said he could get me a SUIT the very next day. I went in the next day and the manager himself got my order and hung it, opened it, and said go ahead and try it on! I went into the dressing room only to find out that it was ANOTHER TUX!!!! And there was a problem with one side of the pants that the adjustment clasp wasn't functioning properly and no belt loops for a belt to hold up my pants!!!!!!!!!!WTH!!! Same mistake twice on such an important occasion plus dysfunctional pants without any awareness on their behalf...I mean REALLY!!! No one from Men's Warehouse ever mentioned that it was a TUX or that there was any problem getting a SUIT!!! COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE and even though they refunded my money I would never step foot into Men's Warehouse again nor would I recommend them to anyone IN FACT I WOULD DO THE OPPOSITE....I would give them a -0- 🌟 rating if possible but you can't on here. YOU GOTTA BE...
