I recently stopped by this incredible Mexican food truck, and I’m already planning my next visit! Located right outside a charming little store, this place serves up some of the best tacos I’ve had in a long time. I tried the carne asada (marinated steak), carnitas (braised pork), and chorizo (spicy pork sausage) tacos. Each taco was generously packed on a 4-inch tortilla, making them hearty and satisfying. The flavors were bold and authentic, with the carne asada perfectly seasoned, the carnitas juicy and tender, and the chorizo packing just the right amount of heat. What makes the experience even better is that all the condiments are available inside the store next door. You can load up your tacos with fresh onions, cilantro, pineapple, and a selection of salsas ranging from mild to fiery hot, making it easy to customize your meal to your exact taste. The store itself is worth a visit too, offering fresh produce, canned goods, a huge variety of hot sauces, and unique snacks you won’t find just anywhere. It’s a true hidden gem that’s not only a fantastic spot for lunch but also a fun place to shop for authentic Mexican ingredients. If you're a fan of flavorful, authentic Mexican food, this food truck is a must-try. You won’t be disappointed!

I was thought mexican food in Pittsburgh could only come with nacho cheese and French fries... My wife and I are very happy we found Tienda Mexicana. The store has a wide variety of dried chiles, that we previously had to order online when cooking our favorite mexican dishes. It also has our favorite snacks (Chicharrones, Chamonix covered candies, and Boletas). The food truck outside the tienda has fresh and authentic food. We ordered the Tacos( Al Pastor, chicken, and carnitas), Huaraches (Carne Asada), and a Burrito. I can't wait to tell everyone I know about this place. We will be back soon.

I can't say how delighted I was to find out that this place exists! I've been to other Mexican stores in the Pittsburgh region, and this by far is the best. The store is new, clean, has a variety of products you can't find anywhere else. If you want to make an authentic mole you will find all your spices here! Taco truck is bomb too. My favorite is the lovely little patio on the side, with room for an area to dance! At least that is what it looks like to me. Love it love it love it.

What a gem! The store is stocked well with Mexican ingredients from the fresh to the canned to the dried. I was amazed to find excellent refrigerated mole poblano as well as fresh, green chiltepin peppers. Never seen them for sale in Pittsburgh.

The food truck on premises is excellent and quick. Their al pastor is stunning. The salsa bar inside the store is well stocked and refrigerated.

The lady working the register could not have been more helpful and kind.

Please patronize...
