Habit Burger & Grill — Restaurant in Mooresville

I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO DISRESPECTED IN AN ESTABLISHMENT! I just left! I ordered two Santa Barbara chars, green beans and two waters. We got our food and noticed there were not two Pattie’s on our burgers and the Santa Barbara is a double char. I took them to the counter and the young woman said she would remake them. The manager Charles then proceeded to disassemble my burgers in front of me while proclaiming there were two Pattie’s. When I told him do not argue with me look at my burger and he then says yes there’s not one on that side but we will remake it. Both of my burgers were single. He continued to argue with me and when I told the young lady I wanted a refund. She went to Charles and let him know and he kept arguing with me. He then stated that he needed my name and email and that corporate handles refunds. He handed me my receipt and told me to write my email and name on the back and then I gave it back. I was saying how it was ridiculous that the way I was being treated and argued with and he repeated “what’s ridiculous”. I now no longer have a receipt for my transaction. As well as I will NEVER GO BACK TO THIS LOCATION! I will also be sure to make sure I NEVER TELL ANYONE TO EAT AT THIS STORE! I have been eating habit for years and was so excited when they opened in this sad state of North Carolina and I have never been treated this abhorrently! I left with no food or money back! In what world is that ok? And to top it off I watched them laughing at me from the window while I drove away! I was not wrong! My husbands burger was also only one patty! I went there for the second time because the first time I did not have time to eat until a couple hours later and the buns were soggy. I thought that time it was expensive. But I thought I would give them another try. I order#1 instead of fries I got the green beans. I pulled into a parking place to eat. When I opened the burger it looked messy . All the inside ingredients were coming out of one side of the bun. Who ever made it just slapped the fixings on it and put the top,on. They were not busy so being in a hurry could not be the excuse.there was probably 2 tablespoons of Mayo on it. The Mayo slipped out of the burger into the wrap along with the lettuce, pickles and other insides. It was so messy I could not eat it. I took 3bites and put it back in the bag. I did not have time to go inside to complain. I was running late for an appt. That is another reason I did not attempt to eat it because I had already used all the napkins they gave me. 4/26/25 The first time I ate from here, I ordered lunch via DoorDash. My family and I decided to try dining in tonight, so the first real experience for us all. We were all very impressed! It was immaculately clean. The workers were all very helpful. Even though there are self-order kiosks, three different workers asked if we needed any help or would like to order at the register by the time we'd looked through the menu. The one we ordered with was helpful and knowledgeable and gave good suggestions. Everyone loved their food. The sourdough toast was crispy and tasty. Everyone who got burgers enjoyed them, as did the salad and grilled cheese people. Crispy fries. Free jalapeños and other peppers by the drinks. If we went back up for something while eating, they gave it to us quickly and with a friendly demeanor. Even my husband had zero complaints!

12/22/23 I didn't know what to expect as I've honestly heard mostly negative or neutral feedback from people who have been here since they opened, but WOW! My burger was absolutely huge and super tasty. The onion rings were super crispy....
