It is completely unacceptable for an internet provider to be out of service for multiple days without a legitimate explaination. I need internet for work and school. I didn't store 20G of data to hot spot for when my provider isn't communicating how and if they are fixing issues due to outages. It's already dissatisfying having only a 3mb package is available where I currently live. We've called IT multiple times and come across a lock on them not having access to help us with our issue. Isn't IT there to troubleshoot and help customers? Why wouldn't they have limited access to IT related problems? These question make me wonder is they micromanage, don't trust the people they employ, and there's dishonesty in the company. The locks are inhibiting IT for being capable to finish their job and come to a solution. This isn't even the first time I've come home from work and/or classes to no internet. I pay for the service of low quality and low speed wifi yet I wonder if I'll even be able to access it half the time. The only reason it's two star is for the IT department. They are very corgile, polite, and helpful (when they have access). I do not recommend this company to anyone though, at least until they do something about their approval ratings. I recently started having random strange issues with my internet, so I called a couple of times to work out what was going on. They were incredibly knowledgeable and walked me through the process for several solutions. When the issues continued, they offered me a new modem.
When they found out I currently have no vehicle to pick up the new modem, they had no problem finding a solution for that, too. They said they'd try to have a tech come out and swap it for me. No joke, roughly an hour later there is a knock on my door. It was really confusing, but when I looked out the peephole, it was Mike, their technician. He is a sweet gentleman and he was also who initially set my internet up. He did all the technical parts of switching to the new modem and I was up and running in less than 10 minutes. I was astonished that someone came THAT DAY and only an hour after my call!
