Black Cat Bakery — Restaurant in Moorhead

This establishment has amazing baked goods at the price, wonderful customer service, and a plain but pleasant atmosphere.

I purchased a Brownie, Scone, Banana Bread and slice of Peach Crumble Pie. Everything was at a bare minimum great. The brownie had a pleasent fudgie mouth feel and would probably had been divine heated up. The banana bread was firm and had great tooth feel, with a mild, but rich and hearty flavor. The scone paired excellent with the coffee I ate it with. And the pie, oh my goodness the pie. I was lazy and heated that in the microwave, which did ruin the curst, but that filling and crumble was out of this world. That is one of the BEST pieces of pie I have ever eaten. My only real complaint foodwise was how thick the icing on the banana bread was, but that's easily solved by just not eating it. I just scraped half of it off, so I can't fault them.

The gentleman at the service counter was an absolute gem, they proudly list all of their ingredients on easy to read labels and he answered all my questions readily for what was a bit more ambiguous such as "oil". He was friendly, informative, and an all-around pleasant man to chat with.

The store itself is a bit basic to be frank, but honestly for having renovated what appears to be the inside of a bar it's well done. I have no doubt it will only improve in time, I will...

Looking for a cozy bakery with amazing gluten-free options and truly outstanding customer service? This is the place. I called Black Cat Bakery yesterday and spoke with Mason, who was incredibly kind and helpful. He let me know that today would be their gluten-free day and invited me to stop in. When I arrived, he remembered our conversation and took the time to explain everything in detail..the ingredients, the process, and what would be safe for me.

Mason was not only informative and knowledgeable, but also incredibly personable. His warmth and attentiveness made me feel so welcomed and cared for. The bakery itself is clean, tidy, and has a charming, homey feel that adds to the experience.

As for the food..bsolutely delicious!! I ordered the gluten-free chocolate scone, GF cereal bar, and the GF caramel roll (my favorite) and everything was just amazing.

I’m so grateful I found this place.. and I’ll definitely be coming back....

BEST BREAD I HAVE EVER HAD!

First off, the customer service in this place is amazing! They were super polite and helpful. I asked for recommendations and the individual behind the counter did not disappoint!

This bread y'all!! It is some of the best bread I have ever had! I bought the artisan Garlic rosemary and thyme bread, and it was amazing! It was soft, firm, chewy, flavorful, the rosemary and thyme were not overpowering, but complemented the garlic really well. We made open-face grilled cheese and ham sandwiches with it and they were to die for!

I also bought some blueberry muffins that were moist and delicious!

Run, do not walk (to burn off the calories 😉) to this place! Love supporting a small business!
