I had an estimate done on my carpet installation by J and S who is subcontracted by Loews for the job. From the initial drawing of the rooms, walk through and explanation of what I wanted, the estimator said it was understood. After that, there was complete confusion from his write up, drawings and objective to accomplish that we confirmed in my house. As a teacher, I asked and confirmed the 3 bedrooms that would be carpeted and what would not be. Loews asked me to clarify because they didnt u understand the write up and drawing layout from J and S and asked if I wanted the living room carpeted. I said no, I specifically told him, no at my house.. After that, I expressed I needed it done before my house inspection. When the date came, they show up saying they only have the 2 bedrooms to do and show me an entirely different drawing. The man mislabeled a bedroom as a FAMILY room which was never discussed and I dont have one and put the one bedroom and its walk in as 2 bedrooms. How do you confuse this?? So now, I am stuck with what I dont want, feel misled, overcharged and left with a room not carpeted with no resolution from J and S. I spoke with Peter on the phone from J and S and he said he would call Loews and no one has gotten back to me yet. I will follow up to get some answers. About, 1,500 dollars later, If I knew it was for 2 bedrooms I would have went with another contractor that charged me much less for the 3 bedrooms I asked to...

In our search for a dining room rug, we decided to visit J & S in Morristown because we were told they had a large selection of top quality rugs. Not only did they have a great variety of beautiful carpets, the decorator/salesperson was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. Sam discussed country of origin, product quality, and price with absolutely no sales pressure. Because my purchase was going to be a long term investment as well as a piece of art, I did quite a bit of research and comparison.The more I learned and saw, the more I was sure that J & S was the company with which I would deal. Our handmade wool rug was delivered within days by Orlando and Chris. It was laid carefully with respect for my home and furniture. Even when I thought it was fine, they continued to position and smooth my carpet until it was perfect. After replacing my table and chairs the room had a beautiful new focal point. We had a wonderful experience from start to finish and would recommend this store, with their excellent staff, to anyone who is interested in making an informed rug purchase. ...
