Don’t waste your time coming here for buying or selling. I dropped off bags of clothing and a beautiful 400$ Tory Burch bag in perfect condition. I was told it would only take 30 minutes so I decided to stay and browse the store. It took over an hour for them to let me know they had finished sorting through my things, and was given 68$ cash for 20 clothing items and the bag. I was only given 6$ in cash for the Tory bag and told me that they’d be selling it for 29$. Mind you, the store is selling designer accessories for hundreds of dollars. I walked out of the store to look at the receipt so I went back in and asked to take the bag back in return for the 6$. They declined saying they could not do that.and I would have to purchase it back for the floor price of 29$. Thankfully a woman who was selling her YSL 1500$ bag told me to buy it back because they only offered her 22$ for hers!! I understand they need to generate a decent profit however this felt like an absolute scam because I don’t believe they’d actually be listing it for 29$ because they said tagging the item could take days so I’m curious how much they would have tagged it for if I hadn’t purchased it back. Also, the items in store are nothing special and several pieces have stains and pilling stitches. Lesson learned, list your designer items on depop or poshmark so you don’t get...
Read moreI had such a great experience at 2ND Street with my niece! We were shopping for thrifted pieces and were both impressed by the quality, style, and prices. She found several great items and was genuinely excited about her finds — and as any aunt knows, that’s a win!
While we were shopping, a storm was approaching, and head management made the call to close the store early for everyone’s safety. Totally understandable. We headed to checkout without hesitation, but unfortunately, another customer caused quite a scene. She yelled and argued for nearly 10 minutes because they couldn’t take in clothing due to the closure.
I just want to take a moment to shout out the team — Nasier, Eric, and Griffin — for the way they handled the situation. They stayed calm, professional, respectful, and patient throughout the whole ordeal. Not once did they match her energy, even though she was completely out of line. It was a great reminder that kindness and grace go a long way.
I’ll definitely be back — not just because of the amazing clothes, but because of the people. Thanks again to the team for turning what could’ve been a stressful experience into a...
Read moreCame in yesterday to sell some items. Staff called us back in a short time (less than an hour). I was helped by Elijah. He was very helpful in guiding us through the thrifting process and explaining how most items were sold and what he would be able to give us based on certain items/percentages. We had previously visited the Hoboken location earlier in the day and the process was night and day. Hoboken staff was kind but would not take most of our items. The Morristown location however, was very helpful and we learned exactly what we needed to do for our future sell backs. Thank you Elijah! We also encountered another staff member named Tina. Tina, thank you for being such a sweetheart! Staff at this location will be very welcoming to you and you won’t feel like you’re being low balled. Keep in mind most items that are fast fashion will be priced at a $1 per item. Do your research before you go and see how much items are sold on websites from its lowest price point so you have an idea of how...
