Salon Botanique Eco-Chic — Local services in Morristown

I went for my first time to this salon last week, to get my first ever DevaCut. I was scheduled with Valerie. She cut my hair curl by curl on dry hair (as it is supposed to be), while she was doing this she talked to me about how to care for my hair, how to properly style it for my curl type. she gave me suggestions and advice to get through my healthy hair journey, which I started 8 months ago. She answered any questions I had, she is definitely very very knowledgeable about curls. After cutting she washed my hair and proceeded to do a treatment with melt into moisture and deep sea repair. She styled and started diffusing my hair, after a little bit it was time for her to get to her next client, so I was placed under heat. (which I am trying to avoid, but a business got to do what it got to do). After a little while my hair wasn't drying because of its low porosity, so Valerie had an assistant diffuse my hair instead. This was the only part I didn't really enjoy, because this assistant didn't have curl experience, or at least I thought she didn't. She started touching my hair all over while diffusing it, which means FRIZZ!!!. Day 2 hair was amazing!!!! after I controlled the frizz with some bouncecurl gel! Overall my experience was great and I did learn a lot from Valerie, I would strongly suggest this salon...

First let me start by saying, I am very surprised there are not more reviews of this place. I was so nervous to try a new salon after getting my hair done in the city at a top salon for years. I made an appt with Jessie Hsu and from the moment I started talking to her, I was completely impressed not to mention at ease. She was so knowledgable about cutting curly hair and color, I was shocked. I have been bouncing around from place to place trying to find a decent stylist and I am definately here to stay. Their concept and products are amazing. The whole salon is gorgeous in addition to being environmentally friendly. During the few hours I was there, I never heard any off color discussions or gossip, no whispering and negativity like in most other salons, which for me is a real turn off. Biba waxed my eyebrows and did A FANTASTIC JOB. Getting a facial from her soon. My hair came out amazing, I felt like a new person. The women at the front desk were so sweet and yet professinal. I can’t say enough kind words about Jackie. Her expertise, knowledge, sharp eye, and attentive listening makes her the amazing stylist she is. I have always been afraid of coloring my virgin hair but wanted to bring out more darker copper tones in my strawberry blonde color (without a ginger look). The first time I saw Jackie she did an amazing cut and recommended a glaze she custom mixed for me, and it was breathtaking, just what I described. A few months later I went back to have just the glaze redone but saw a different stylist; unfortunately, it didn’t come out how I liked it and I had a wedding that weekend…Jackie squeezed me in same day and fixed the purple-ish botched color into a beautifully toned golden light copper, very near my natural strawberry blonde.
