Place is just OK. Staff was really nice but few things went wrong. 1)It's not Swiss type dessert, it's all typical over sweet sugary items. 2)we got multiple desserts, when they hand me the bag, I didn't open it till I went to my car. All the items, cookies, cupcakes, chocolate eclair, cream puffs, all was thrown in same box, stacked on top of each other. How horrible is that? Who serves desserts like that? 3)Cream puffs without any cream inside, yap all hollow inside. Not one not two, all of them empty. Are you kidding me? You just changed me for cream puffs God sake. Look at the pictures lol I am laughing coz I know I am never going there again. 4)Even basic coffee want good, forget about Europe standards. I am giving 2 stars because of some of the staff was very nice and friendly but they need to find some real Swiss cook or change the name and call it some joe's dinner or something. This bakery may be good for people whom never traveled outside of country. Once you taste Europe desserts, no way you can eat this stuff.

Swiss Chalet is literally our flavor haven – every bite feels like a taste of pure joy. From cakes/ pastries to coffee, everything we get here is not just delicious; it's like a warm hug for our taste buds. but let me gush about my absolute favorite – the carrot cake. It's not just a dessert; it's a heavenly creation. The ingredients, the texture, every little detail is a testament to perfection. Eating that carrot cake is like savoring a piece of edible art. The bakery has this magical touch that turns every visit into a delightful experience. It's not just about the food; it's about those moments of savoring something truly special. Swiss Chalet has become our go-to place, not just for treats but for creating sweet memories. It's more than a bakery; it's a comforting oasis of flavors that keeps us coming back for those happy, delicious moments.

I was excited to stop by my favorite childhood bakery. Took my 10yo to experience and some bakery enthusiast friends. It was a let down. I've gone on & on about these smiley faced cookies...I spent 30$ on baked goods...friends spent a bit more....I happily passed out cookies in the car and boom.....the cookies were super dry and just missing something in the flavor. Then that's all I heard about for the duration of the 3hr ride to get home. 😵 My feelings were really hurt. Idk what is different but they are definitely not the cookies I remember, I've ordered and had shipped across the country (I've ordered and had them sent to DE, PA, GA, FL, MD & DC) definitely not the same cookie recipe. 😱 I think I've had my last visit.

IF I can give a zero I would from the experience I’ve had with I believe the manager/ or owner (KIM) was the name given to me (unsure if she was truthful) . Very rude horrible attitude to me and treated me as if I wasn’t a paying customer . As I enter the bakery I order multiple mini desserts for a loved one’s birthday. As I go to check out the women “Kim” tells the worker that had been assisting me see if I have cash , worker then proceeds to tell me their only accepting cash now as their systems are down suddenly, after ordering for about 5 minutes now I am being informed of this . “ Kim “ then comes to the register and says I am unable to purchase if I do not have cash and proceeds to pull out a piece of paper stating you can give me your debit card information and we will charge you when the systems are up. While there are a ton of workers around I did not feel secure leaving my form of payment on a piece of receipt paper. I’ve been here and given my business to the bakery before and stated may I call you guys to process over the phone or return later to process. “Kim” then stated she is not going to chase me down to pay so NO you can not take anything . As if I am some sort of thief or child that would not pay nor return to pay 25 dollars for a few deserts. I was willing to show my ID and prove my trust. As she pulled the deserts away from me . I then proceeded to leave I returned a few seconds after to ask for her information she said her name was “Kim and she’s just a worker (wearing a black shirt) I asked if there was a manager available she said no very dismissive and said call the bakery. I left and will never return I don’t know why this women will treat any of her customers this way, I did not deserve to be treated this way nor disrespected and looked as if I am some kind of thief. These days leaving your debit card details around is not secure. If your systems had been down all day each customer should be notified upon entry . Terrible experience was not able to surprise my love one with their favorite desserts . DO better if your having a bad day don’t take it out on others , especially people Supporting your business! That’s a professional setting your face on the front. Good Luck ! Hope this is...

A few months ago, I would've easily rated Swiss Chalet a 5/5. The service is always great and the food is consistently fresh and tasty.

However, after ordering a cake for a family members birthday, my opinion & rating have diminished significantly. After ordering the cake in person and discussing the specifics, we were confident that the baking staff would do a great job (like they normally do). Even though the price of the cake was a bit high, we wrote that off as a sign of the times and thought the quality would match.

When picking up the cake, I was decidedly not "wowed" by it. It looked fine, but not great - especially for the price and expectations. The "icing on the cake" was the reaction by the staff member who had worked on the cake. Instead of displaying any semblance of customer service aptitude, she said "Well, I'm not sure what you want me to do with it." after we voiced that we weren't pleased with the end product. She also gave several other rude remarks and entirely dismissed us from speaking with her further.

She had every opportunity to make things right with us in that moment. I understand that she couldn't remake the cake in the spot, but could have offered more compassion and understanding, especially to someone who just spent over $400 on a relatively small cake. "We're so sorry you aren't satisfied with it. Would you like to come back tomorrow after the party to talk a bit more?" - could have been a response. Shockingly, she didn't even apologize in any capacity. I assume this is how her and the rest of the business think of their customers, unfortunately. I would use this a warning to anyone looking to spend their money at this establishment. Your money will not equate to the quality or...
