I did not find any issues with way the store is maintained and all other stuffs but I had a problem with staffs and management.
I have bought green coconut couple of time. May be 3 times. First time , all the coconuts were fine but second time , one of the coconut was rotten inside and I left this as it happens and we cannot blame anyone for this . But third time also I had some issue like there was nothing inside (no water no coconut) . Basically it’s an empty shell. This time I decided to report to store on these .
Fourth time I am visiting store and bought couple of veggies along with one more green coconut . While billing these stuffs I was trying to explain the issues I had with coconuts. ( I was also showing pictures)but the response I got from the billing staff was really made me upset . She answered that “ if you continue to see issue then don’t buy” . The tone she said was little surprising to me
Since I lost money twice (7$ is not a big deal ) I just wanted make sure this is getting addressed in either of the way like give some discount on next purchase or let your vendor know.
Then Somebody from management came to discuss on this and I was trying to explain about experience one more time and they were keep justifying that it’s not their mistake and they cannot do anything.
I also agree that they cannot do anything with these kind of products as this is something outside of their control. Logically it’s their responsibility for anything that was sold at their store. Still I asked them that when it’s comes to customers satisfaction what step you you are going to take. The answer is “Nothing we can’t do” . And again I asked them that why should I loose my money for such things. It’s not your mistake either mine but why I alone loose my money .
They kept justifying it’s something they cannot do any thing. Till end they were never concerned about customer satisfaction .
At some point of time he said like ok I ll give 10 or 20% for the coconut that I am going to buy.
This made me real upset . Am I begging or what? The worst management I have ever seen. I ll never visit this store again
@ Bombay Central - my kind advise , I don’t have any issues other than your stand in customer satisfaction and giving back something to customer when something is not right. You are loosing penny but earning customers trust which is priceless . Try to...
Read moreBombay Central as a whole, that includes the store, cafe and halal meat staff was attentive and ready to help.
My mom said, the cafe serves food with love. I felt it also showed in their preparation. I know they just opened up, The cauliflower Manchurian, the sauce and prep was great. But it was not crispy, and since we waited for the food 23 min. It should be hot. It was not, it was warm. I felt they did not get it to us timely after it was prepared. Same I feel for batata bada and Samosa. The Bombay sandwich was good. I would go and try the cafe again to see if they got the kinks of service out, and actually serving hot food as it comes out.
Bombay central has everything that you man need and more. I saw pre-made gravies and some dishes that one can make into their own. I grabbed the Gravy RoganJosh and Makhani. We tried the RohanJosh and it is tasty, all we added was salt to taste and easily one can add paneer or chicken or lamb or goat.
I stoped in to say hi to the young lady and sir that were at the halal meat store within Bombay Central, they were pleasant, the halal meat shop was clean and they had nice selection of Goat, Chicken and Lamb.
Bombay Central we will be back. Thank you for opening up and elevating our south Asian...

Alert 🚨 Alert 🚨 Alert 🚨
Please refrain from purchasing any groceries at this store…..because they sell the products that are near to expiry( which we obviously don’t realize that something is gonna expire like in next 1 month 15days) and when you go and ask them for exchange, they retain and told me that I need to check(for sure it’s my mistake, but this is about the masala that I got and no household individual can finish masala related to panipuri in next 1month or 2) and the owner(lady) told me that restaurants would do that and compared the individual household with restaurant business(definitely didn’t make any sense to me when she compared with restaurants buying groceries vs individuals). If you still wish to purchase grocery at this store please make sure and check the expiry dates. Also prices are way too high when compared with other stores in RTP area. My strong recommendation would be compare prices, quality and customer satisfaction.
Thanks for making me realize to not go to this store again…and this is my first negative review in last few years.
Side note: I’d recommend shop at others stores like RTP Sabzi Mandi, Suvida...
