If you're in Morrisville, NC, and craving the vibrant and flavorful cuisine of Puerto Rico, Koki is the place to be! My recent dining experience at this Puerto Rican restaurant left me utterly delighted and satisfied, and I can't wait to share the details of my visit. Atmosphere (5/5): Koki exudes an inviting and warm ambiance that instantly transports you to the sunny shores of Puerto Rico. The colorful décor, tropical music, and friendly staff make you feel like you've stepped into a coastal paradise. Whether you're dining with friends, family, or on a romantic date night, Koki's atmosphere sets the perfect tone for a memorable meal. Service (5/5): The staff at Koki are not only attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They took the time to explain the dishes, offer recommendations, and ensure we had a fantastic dining experience. Their genuine passion for Puerto Rican cuisine truly shines through. Food (5/5): Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the food! Koki's menu is a culinary journey through the flavors of Puerto Rico, and every dish we tried was an absolute masterpiece. Some highlights include: Mofongo: A Puerto Rican classic made with mashed plantains, garlic, and your choice of protein. Koki's rendition was perfectly seasoned and bursting with authentic flavors. Ropa Vieja: The tender, slow-cooked shredded beef was a melt-in-your-mouth delight. It's served with rice and beans, completing a comforting and satisfying meal. Empanadas: These savory turnovers were flaky, golden, and filled with delicious fillings. The perfect appetizer to kickstart your Puerto Rican culinary adventure. Tostones: The fried green plantains were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, served with a mouthwatering dipping sauce. Desserts: Don't leave without trying their desserts! The coconut flan and tres leches cake were the perfect sweet endings to our meal. Price (4/5): While Koki offers an authentic taste of Puerto Rico, it's worth noting that the prices can be slightly higher than your typical casual dining restaurant. However, the quality of the food, the generous portions, and the overall dining experience make it well worth the investment. In summary, Koki in Morrisville, NC, is a hidden gem for anyone seeking an authentic taste of Puerto Rican cuisine. From the welcoming atmosphere to the delectable dishes and friendly service, Koki delivers an unforgettable dining experience. If you're looking for a culinary adventure that will transport your taste buds to the Caribbean, Koki should be at the top of your list. I can't wait to return and explore more of their mouthwatering offerings!

I'm only giving 2 stars because the staff were very nice. It's a small spot with a few tables inside but more seating outside. Ordering is done on a Kiosk which is very time consumeing when you have a large party. The food was probably the worse Puerto Rican food I've had. The flavors were not authentic. The beans were absolutely flavorless. The Pork chops were OVER seasoned and tasted like they just soaked them in sazon and salt. It was not edible and literally burned that's how salty it was. The inside of the prokchop was orange! The empanadas had like potatoes or something weird in the chicken. The ropa Vieja tasted like someone just put beer and no seasoning. My whole family was very disappointed, and we ended up leaving the food which hurt to see so much food wasted. The only other positive was they had cans of Kola Champagne. We are Puerto Rican and love supporting but unfortunately this was not for us.

I had Abuela’s Chicken empanada and the ropa vieja arroz. The filling was good but seemed to lack seasoning. I can tell if it had more seasoning it would be 5 stars. The empanada pastry shell was perfect flaky with a slight crunch. I could taste each ingredient. My guest had the beef and maduros empanadas and she loved hers and said it was definitely better seasoned. The rice wasvery good and fresh and perfectly complimented the roast like beef. It was better seasoned but it seemed that in larger batches the proportions are lost at the expense of more flavor. I would definitely come again and try the food again. The staff and team seemed very welcoming.

Disappointed. Been to thousands of Puertorican restaurants and this is the WORST ONE. Decided to try this place and me and my family will NEVER be customers again. First the rice and beans separately are 4.19 and Maduro separately is 4.99 I asked them just to put it in one plate and they charged $10 which was fine but when I got my plate it only had 2 Maduro ONLY 2! so they charge 4.99 for 2 maduros (plantes) ???? Sad that they are trying to scam the customers acting like we wouldn’t notice. The second thing was that my family asked the man at the cashier what size plates they had and he showed us a medium rectangle plate telling us that’s the medium size so we got that one so when we got home we noticed they put our food small circle round plates way smaller than the rectangle plate the man told us we were playing for. And to make it even worse each plate had a different amount of rice and bean portion one plate had a small corner of rice and the other had a lot more and they were the same exact price. Worst customer service and by the looks of it they try to scam the customers with prices and portions BEWARE AND pay attention to what your paying for. no real Puertorican restaurants will ever charge you 4.99 for 2 plátanos maduros like these people would and act like the customer will never know they might try and do that to customers who aren’t familiar or used to paying for Puertorican foods but they dealt with a Puertorican family who does and it’s completely unacceptable. ESAS COSAS NO SE HACEN Y PERDIERON UNA FAMILIA DE CLIENTES

Responding to owner’s response. With all due respect everything you just responded was a big fat LIE (con to respeto todo lo que dijisteis fue embuste) You weren’t there which clearly shows you weren’t. The reason I didn’t contact you guys before the review was because you guys already showed the type of business you are running and that’s trying to fool your customers. WE NEVER ASKED FOR THE HAVANA DISH WE NEVER GAVE THAT CASHIER A DISH NAME AT ALL. WE ONLY TOLD HIM WE WANTED RICE AND BEANS WITH MADUROS. He knew it was cheaper and a lot more food with sides but he made it a dish and charged for it that’s not our problem. And I say you guys charge 4.99 for 2 maduros because that’s what you did!!!!! You charged 10 for a small circle plate of rice beans and 2 maduros. Say it’s a lie and I will upload a picture of the food and a receipt. It’s so convenient for you guys to leave out the fact that we can get 6-7 maduros and a full rice and beans for $10 instead of 2 maduros and a small plate of rice and beans for the same price And your not trying to fool people? We thought he charged for the sides. Increíble… Own up to what you guys tried to do. All I hear is excuses. You tired to rip us off and your now say it was what we ordered don’t lie. I know times are hard right now but that doesn’t excuse you from trying to rip off the customers and also lie about the size of the medium plates which you never responded to. ME AND MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE. if you were a business of integrity you would have written a response with your contact information so you can explain, why you try to pull one over your customers charge 4.99 basically for 2 maduros and say it’s what they ordered convenient for you guys to say. Again you might try to fool your customers who don’t normally eat Hispanic food. But your not fooling Puertorican families who have eatin at thousands of Hispanic restaurants and knows what should be charged normally. Again CUSTOMERS SHOULD BEWARE. Si necesitas más aclaración de lo que paso PLEASE say so, No inventen lo que no es verdad. Nadie le dijo un dish al cashier solamente que queríamos rice, beans and maduros lo de más el cashier lo hizo el mismo por...

Koki Restaurant is an absolute nightmare! I decided to give this place a try, but they completely let me down. Despite the "Open" light shining brightly in their window, they had the audacity to turn me away, claiming they were closed. But get this: right after rejecting me, they eagerly assisted another customer. Talk about a slap in the face!

Their advertised closing time is supposed to be 8pm, and I arrived around 7:40pm, well before their supposed closure. It's clear that Koki Restaurant just didn't want my business, but they were more than happy to cater to someone else without hesitation. I couldn't help but notice that this blatant display of disrespect and abysmal service seemed racially motivated, as I am a person of color and the person they helped after turning me away was not.

I am absolutely disgusted by the level of poor service and disrespect I experienced at Koki Restaurant. Their actions were not only infuriating but also deeply offensive. I vow never to set foot in that place again. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this establishment at all costs.

EDIT: Response: Either your establishment is open, or it’s closed. There should be no discriminatory exceptions. But because there were, I do not need anything from your company. I just want to leave my review of my experience at...
