Now they’ve gone to the point of putting a sign up. I originally gave my review over three weeks ago based on the fact that this is the only Ross in the Atlanta area that somehow consistently has a non-functioning public restroom for their shoppers. Not to mention does not have separate restrooms for employees. So in order for this to be true, it means that employees must be leaving the store ever so often to use the restroom as it is perpetually down for both males and females. I took a picture of it today when I once again had to visit the store for Christmas shopping. if this is a plumbing issue, this is a commercial business and there is no excuse for the plumbing situation and not be resolved by now. The amount of shoppers that come in here to shop with the various medical conditions that mean, they have to have quick access for emptying their bladder or otherwise is not a few. I know for a fact, the plumbing does work. Every stall is not down. And I find it extremely doubtful that they are making their employees go entire shifts without having a bathroom available. At this point based on the fact I’ve seen this happen on and off for a year at the store. Most likely this is some issue coming down to not wanting to offer working restrooms to shoppers and saving them only for employee access. A business at commercial retail cannot expect people to believe a plumbing situation goes unresolved for weeks on end that leaves to entire closure. During the course of a month, I shop at five or more Ross locations as a regular customer. Generally, what I’ve come to expect from Ross stores is friendly employees, and enjoyable selection. Mount Zion Road location evidently wants to occupy a more special place. The only Ross I’ve ever had to give a negative review on. If they’re truly is some major plumbing issue that for whatever reason just isn’t getting taken care of because of poor management, then it is evidently time Corporate made aware of the situation so basic shopper expectations can be met in terms of comfort. It is the Christmas shopping season and regardless of the cause this should be resolved. The restroom is being closed at this point shows either negligence on the part of management as you can always have porta potties hold out for customer comfort, or gaslighting customer about the situation as I am pretty much inclined to believe that this is a case of not wanting to have to deal with cleaning restrooms to provide this to the public. Again, asking us to believe that the employees are being made to suffer through their shifts with a no chance of relieving themselves for weeks or months...
Read moreSo the cashiers were asking for card only purchases . There was 2 customers ahead of me .An Asian couple and a Hispanic guy. Asian couple gets to register- cashier asked her was she paying with card they didnt understand so they just shrugged their shoulders the cashier literally snatches the shirt out of the ladies hand to ring it up . So at the end Asian Lady hands her debit card to her and she again snatched it and said " God how hard is it for these people to understand or speak English. Then Hispanic customer comes up she proceeds to ring up his merchandise and at the end he hands her a $100 bill. She then yells at him " I told you I was only taking Card , do you not understand Card only not cash!" .at this point I am being checked out and my cashier steps in and tells her " i dont think he understands and you can still check him out just ask him to push the red X on the card machine. " I also step in and tell her " Obviously there is a language barrier why do you have to be so rude " she never once turned to look at me and she then said " I was not talking to you so this shouldn't affect you" . I then asked my cashier for the store manager and to my disbelief she was the shift manager !!
There was no need for her to be so nasty and derogatory because of a language barrier.
I would like to point out that Patrice my cashier was very polite and the help that she offered to the situation was very professional and would highly recommend that she be promoted to Ms.Shantae Mclelland...
Read moreI haven’t been here in over 2-3 years, stopped by because I was in the area and the line was wrapped to the back of the store. I did my shopping then joined the line, it took close to 20 minutes to get to the register and encounter Gabby. Gabby wasn’t in the mood to make money at Ross and it showed!! Several times I asked Gabby to stop sweeping the clothing I was buying across the floor, she gave me one of those blank looks. Then she began dropping the home decor fragile items into the plastic bags, I asked that she not drop them into the bag which was sitting on the counter, basic sense. The final straw was after I asked Gabby not to overload the plastic bag she had put the clothes hangers I purchased into. Needless to say 3 of 3 bags tore on the bottom as a result of being too full. Gabby wasn’t worth putting the items back because of the time I spent in the store and waiting in line but she’s worth not returning, contacting corporate (which I’ve done) and writing this review. I’m getting tired of employees going on jobs to retrieve a paycheck but aren’t willing to do the job, like I explained to Gabby, if you don’t like the job quit!
