
I w8ll start with saying that the kitchen did a great job. The food was well seasoned and tasty. Other than that, everything else was not great. It took a long time to be greeted, another 10 or so minutes before we were given water, and 27 minutes before the alcoholic drink we ordered. We ordered the wing appetizer which was pretty standard. The food took less time than the drinks, so again, kudos to the kitchen. Our server seemed to be overwhelmed with the couple tables she had so maybe she was new? Either way we were there for 45 minutes before we were able to make our entree order. A manager (I guess? She was dressed like a patron honestly) came by and asked how we were, I mentioned the long wait time on the bar drink and she simply said "Okay, nice" and moved on as if she had not really cared about our answer at all. I shrugged it off because I was having a great day and was excited to eat some seafood. Our entrées arrived and I have nothing but praise for my crab and shrimp boil, and my husband's fried catfish. I will say that I never received any utensils, not even crab crackers. My server did not check back after the food was delivered so I never even had a chance to ask if a fork, or claw cracker was even available. I had to resort to biting my crab like a caveman 😅 We ate and were waiting for our server to come by so we could ask for to go boxes and the check but she seemed overwhelmed by a small table nearby. We waited about an extra 20 minutes before I got up to find help. I found the lady I assumed was the manager from before behind the bar on social media and politely asked for help, insinuating that perhaps her staff could use her help. It felt odd to see wait staff struggle while manager was on social media on her phone, ngl. Anyhow I asked for our bill and a to go box. We were given the bill but the box request was ignored. When the server finally took our payment, we asked again. It was still ignored. Eventually we simply left, realizing it was never going to happen. I feel bad for the server, they needed help but seemed overwhelmed, and that bothers me bc the manager could have been helping with drinks, prebussing, and more, but wasn't. If I ever return here, it will be for take out only (because as I said earlier, the food was tasty) but due to the failures of the front of house, I will probably seek out other seafood restaurants instead. Which I suggest any of you reading this to do as well. I wanted this to be my new seafood restaurant since moving here recently, but I believe I can find better service for the amount that I spend.

Read moreToday, as a special outing from hubby, we tried this restaurant. This was a Saturday afternoon and the place wasn't crowded. Curb appeal is important for me and this place is beautiful, in my opinion. Everything was cleaned and well kept. We were greeted by two pleasant hostesses and promptly seated. I really love the idea of butcher paper for the tables as it's more sanitary. I did observe one of the hostesses disinfecting the table prior to putting down fresh paper. Our server was neat, pleasant and familiar with the food. I wish I had pics but don't. We ordered fried oysters as an appetizer and I had the fried catfish basket which had 4 pieces of fish - which in my opinion was generous. My sides were the mixed vegetables and hush puppies. My husband had the shrimp basket with broccoli which was absolutely delicious(the broccoli. I don't like shrimp) ! My fish was fried to perfection and the hush puppies were great too. The food was served hot and timely. I feel the vegetables medley was way too salty but EVERYTHING else was perfect! The ambience was pleasant, the music appropriate and not too loud. The containers for condiments were clean without a build up of gunk. I did observe the hostess wipe the containers. I'm sure she wasn't being extra cautious because she was being watched, I'm sure this was her training! The restroom was clean and well kept. I sat in the restaurant and waited for my food. 30 minutes later - received my order and went strait home (15 min) THE FOOD WAS OLD, COLD, and DISGUSTING!!!! 🤢 Fried calamari! Fried Gator Bites! Fried Salmon Bites! Fried Shrimp Dinner with two pieces of fried catfish!
I patron this restaurant at least once a month! I sit down enjoy my freshly prepared seafood and take home the above order for my husband!! So, I know their food is typically on point. Especially the fried salmon bites but last night— the food was inedible!!!
I spoke to a “manager” today Sunday 05/04/2025 to inform him ONLY about the quality of the food!!! I didn’t expect anything in return other than “my apologies…”. This manager insinuated when you do not go straight home.. SIR I WENT STRAIGHT HOME! Or when you order to go and do not come and pick it up….SIR. I sat in your lobby waiting for my to go order!!! Not my 1st time placing a to go order by the way, Sir!!
Then he says - well you should have called last night (as if it was my fault the food was cold and smelled spoiled)!! I informed him very nastily - I want nothing from you but for you to listen and make any adjustments in the kitchen!!
Needless to say I will not go back again!!! Make sure you check your food before leaving for freshness!!! These restaurants will give you whatever is lying around and call it “fresh”!!!! Garbage customer service will always lose!!! That place will be closed down within the next 6 months!!!
