Mayberry's Music Center — Local services in Mount Airy

This is a great place to visit! We always feel welcome going there and enjoy the impromptu "jam sessions". If you are interested in purchasing an instrument, or like to sing or play gospel music, they are great to let you try out an instrument.They have a variety of instruments as well as gospel cds for sale. They are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Mayberry Music Store.

Edit 7-15-23: This is a review for The Easter Brothers Homeplace since there is not a place to review it on Google yet. Russell Easter's son Rodger set up a museum dedicated to The Easter Brothers and it's a must see for anyone interested in the Easter Brothers or gospel music! It is off the beaten path a bit and best to make arrangements to go see it through the ladies at Mayberry Music. There is a lot of information, pictures, and some memorabilia items. It's not a huge place, but a person could spend some time reading the information and looking at pictures. For anyone interested in the Easter Brothers, it's well worth the time to go. Went down to Mount Airys yesterday to see Andy Griffiths home town. Stepped in to this little store and didn't want to leave! The owners are a amazing couple! Me and my wife talked to them for at least an hour. The owner is one of the Easter Brothers Gospel group. His name is James. His brother Russell came in while we were there and sang with James. It was wonderful. They even prayed with us when we left for a safe trip back home. They sure made this Kentucky boy feel at home. I'll definitely be in to see them when we go back! I can't even begin to describe my experience here. God guided me here and now I know why and was completely humbled by getting to know James Easter and share all we did. By God's love and grace, I was blessed with an experience and memory that will always be with me, along with a beautiful guitar that I hope and pray I can put to God's service as I learn to play.
