Hospice Hope Chest — Local services in Mount Dora

If your drawer was over the other day it was because the two cashiers were so busy talking they forgot to give me my change. It was just a few dollars but after standing there forever waiting for them to at least turn back around I decided time is money and I left. I also stood there for a few minutes waiting to be rung up while the cashiers discussed a duvet cover quite obviously just ignoring me standing there with a giant basket of stuff. It's pretty over priced like most hospice stores but its ok. I can deal with price better than I can deal with lazy and inattentive staff. Selection also is kind of minimal. Mostly glass and artwork. Alot of things I priced on ebay and you could actually get them cheaper there even with shipping so someone is getting a little price happy. Upscale or not I wasn't...

I accidentally parked in an employee parking spot and when aggressively confronted by an employee I apologized and said I would move immediately. The employee continue to yell at me as I tried to explain that it was not clearly marked and we were simply confused. Mind you there were two other open employee parking spots. I could not believe someone that worked for such a well respected company would carry themselves that way. It was disgusting. She barked rude things towards my mother and aunt all in front of my 5 month old baby. She put a cone behind our car, over a simple mistake. The whole experience was horrible and I would NEVER recommend anyone go there for fear that they ACCIDENTALLY park in the wrong spot or...

I just love visiting the Mt. Dora Hospice Thrift Store in downtown Mt. Dora. You never know what you are going to find. Last year I was able to collect and create my Christmas Village from there. It turned out beautiful! The ladies there are always so nice and friendly to me. I like to take donations there too because I know they will price fairly and handle with care. I always ask if it’s okay to park in their lot when I’m taking donations there and of course they say yes. I can not imagine how anyone could an unpleasant experience...
