The Salty Mare — Local services in Mount Dora

The Salty Mare was one of the few places to have a specific Yeti I wanted in stock. They sent me a thank-you note right after I completed my purchase for supporting their small business, and they shipped out very quickly. It was even packaged nicely! So few places take the time for these little touches, and while I ultimately care MOST about the quality of a store’s products, if a store delivers something great AND goes the extra mile, it really makes them stand out. Will definitely give them my business again...

This was the first stop on our Mnt. Dora shopping day. I had never been here (first time exploring anywhere around Orlando), and I was immediately drawn to an adorable clutch wallet. SO CUTE! The owner was fabulous and when I asked if she could possibly knock the price down for me, she did! I was so surprised! Hospitality only a small local business can offer! I plan on coming back and when I do, I intend to support them once more.

I was in desperate need of an outfit for an emergency work issue. I had just left advent hospital and needed to stop in Mount Dora before rushing to the work emergency. The two ladies working today made sure I left with a cute outfit for the job. I appreciate them so much. They turned me from hospital bum into work material! Thank you...
