Now that they remodeled , bigger, cleaner , wider isles , shelving no more pallets, better added products , awesome produce, Aldis owns Trader Joe's so now I believe they are combined for the new stores are a lot like Trader Joe's with the lighting and attractive signage along with the decor. Also seeing some of the organic products into the store now for really not that much more in price and yet they did increase the prices about 3 to 5 percent . But I still can swing it on my budget being on a fixed income and wheelchair bound person. Love that store , have for the past 15 years. Just way better now than ever. Oh, and their brand if food to me , is better than most of the original name brands they copied. Always impressed by the deals I find here. Definitely my go-to for fruit and produce. Also great for bagels and bread. They often have a great selection of cheese (specialty) so it's great if you're thinking of trying anything new). I tend to stay away from the meat dept, including lunch meat as I don't seem to find many deals. The same goes for beverages. Their deals aisle has been hit or miss. They tend to mix some name-brand items in there, though they're not a deal. The frozen dept is also hit or miss. I keep an eye out for markdowns. I know people who criticize Aldi, but they’ve never actually even been here. They’ve never tried anything from here. Even though they aren’t quite exactly like the national brands, they’re close enough. Especially for the price. Sometimes two or three dollars cheaper. The discounts add up and are definitely worth it. The few different things, like using a quarter for the shopping cart, or using your own or buying grocery bags are worth getting used to.
