On November 9 (yesterday) I stopped in the Mount Pleasant Red Lobster to order a takeout of the “Bar Harbor Lobster Bake”. I’d had it before, and remember how delicious it was. I was told that they didn’t have an appropriate pan for the dish, and that they’d put my order in a large pan, and it would be up half way in the pan. I placed the order. When I got home and opened the pan, I first realized that I didn’t get the amount quoted. But my greatest disappointment was that the dish was tasteless! I felt cheated. I spoke with a female Manager by phone to express my displeasure, and asked for a refund. After taking my information, the Manager told me that I’d previously complained about their food, and that she needed to speak with someone else. She said that needed to come to the restaurant the next day at 5pm. I don’t drive at night, so that’s out. I decided to remove the seafood from the pasta, sauté it, and create another dish! As far as a refund, or credit, I’ll pass, because I’ll never eat at Red Lobster again! The food is I consistent, and the Managers , to me, have been rude!
OLD COMPLAINT My Surf and Turf meal was ruined, because the “medium steak” that I ordered came out extremely well done. By the time the replacement came, I’d finished the rest of the meal, so I asked for a takeout box and a few biscuits to have with it. The male manager told me I could have one more biscuit, and brought me one overcooked, cold biscuit. I was never offered a discount for the ruined meal, just a cold shoulder, and a plastic bag. This manager could learn something about courtesy, and good customer service from the young lady, who served me, because she was excellent! While I love the current menu, I doubt that I eat at this restaurant again any time soon. Unfortunately I lost one of the stems from my eye glasses at the restaurant, which is the last place I used them. When I called the restaurant, I was told that it was probably thrown in the trash! A customer’s lost item will be put in the trash! 🙄 Horrible!!! POST NOTE: Thank you to the owners of this Red Lobster Restaurant, who reached out to me about my disappointing lunch experience. Their concern means a lot, and is appreciated. I’ll, definitely, visit again to try some more of that sumptuous menu! Again,...
Read moreMy parents ate there yesterday on October 21st, 2022 at approximately between five and six PM. They have been eating there for at least three decades. When they went to leave, my mother's wallet dropped out of her purse. This was for a minute to up to a maximum of two minutes. Her wallet was suddenly found on the floor by a member of their wait team, minus over $250 in cash, with all her credit cards intact. The restaurant was extremely busy as it was a Friday evening. No patrons saw anything. She doesn't remember her waitress's name, yet management knew exactly where they were sitting. When she spoke with management regarding what happened, even having to go back in the kitchen, they just said that a patron must have found it on the floor and quickly took her money without anyone, including patrons, noticing. I personally feel that one of the patrons would have noticed if another diner went to pick up a wallet off the floor from any area they were not sitting in the immediate area. My mother had actually left her a twenty percent tip, so this was not done for revenge. It was done for pure greed. I know that they will NEVER eat there ever again, nor will I or anyone else that either of us know.
Red Lobster already serves mediocre seafood at over inflated prices. So please don't waste your money here because it may cost you WAY more than the prices on the menu.
I forgot to add that the wallet was purple, so it didn't just blend in with the surroundings. I am not on Facebook, so in fact you are discriminating against your customers who don't use it, which seems to be the only way to contact or possibly resolve any complaints. Furthermore, I can guarantee that a free appetizer or dinner will never make up for what occurred. I will try to get my mother to contact you on Facebook, although I'm definitely holding out hope for any...
Read moreWhen we got there, there were a lot of people waiting. The hostesses seemed a bit unorganized. We were a party of 3, I noticed another party of 3 patiently waiting... however we were seated first despite coming in after them. We were seated by the bar. There was a dirty booth when we were seated and shortly after we got settled 2 more booths left. Not one bus person came over to clean the booths, even after the waitress asked for assistance. People that were waiting for a table had to walk through this waitress’s section and of course made comments about how long they had been waiting and that there were empty/ dirty tables. The waitress finally found the time (between serving what customers she had) to clean off the table. I felt terrible for the waitress who wasn’t getting sat because her tables were dirty but no one was coming to clean them. After she cleaned her tables, she then got slammed with 3 back to back. Our food took quite some time to come out. My husband got the wrong food, but since it took so long for it to come out he just ate it. I mentioned to the waitress s the food was wrong she was very apologetic and insisted the manager assist us. The manager didn’t come to the table. The waitress unaware attempted to settle our bill but realized he never came over. She said she would send him over. She came back a while later and attempted to settle the bill again, however, he still hadn’t shown up. Finally, 30 minutes after the initial offer to have him come over he did and resolved the issue. In the meantime a table sat in the waitress’s section for 45 minutes with dirty dishes on it. I did not see 1 bus person in the waitress’s section the entire almost 2 hours we were there. The waitress was very kind, however, the experience wasn’t the greatest. The establishment seemed very disorganized, chaotic, and...
