I preordered the new call of duty back in april and a day before it was released i recieved an email saying my credit card was invalid so they cancelled the order... turns out i had been sent a new card since then so instead of updating it they just cancelled it. When i tried to add the same item to my cart it came out as a higher price.. i just worked 7 days straight and barely had time to get in an hour before close.. upon arriving i asked them to update the order with the new card as it wouldnt let me access it online...i was informed they cannot do anything to edit orders at store level and i need to call customer service... the irony of being told this while standing under a large sign boldly saying customer service wasnt lost on me. So they leave me to my own devices with the number... i wait while an automated system cant understand my responses somehow for 5 minutes until i start spamming 0. Eventually it says please hold for a live operator. After another 10 minutes it transfers me to the wrong department. Then they transfer me to the wrong one again after making me wait while they confirm theyre sending me to the right one.. then 5 minutes later while holding the call abruptly ends. Finally i say i just want the game for the price in the cancelled order. I had gamers club bringing it to 47 and a 20 dollar rewards bringinf it to 27 and some other 5 dollars off making it 24 after taxes. So by now ive been there 45 minutes. The girl, who was very nice, not her fault, calls over a manager with a scraggly gray beard. She explains the situation to him. He tells me the item for 24 was the gamers club subscription even though it says the item is call of duty in the order screen. I then say look the order says its for call of duty... ive been on hold sitting here an hour either give it to me for 24 or fine ill just take it as is.. he then responds by saying well its a 60 dollar game, uh i cant give you a 60 dollar game for 24 dollars while sort of looking at me incredulously.. i explained its already 47 from gamers club and i spent 30 on that and i used a 20 dollar rewards i had to spend like 200 to acquire.. so its really only a 5 dollar difference. He wouldnt budge. I lost any preorder bonus and after wasting an hour of my evening the manager wouldnt even honor a 5 dollar difference. Even if somehow i was mistaken ive spent enough money there to just give it to me especially after wasting an hour and having my order cancelled and losing the...

I was looking through open box laptops on the best buy site and I entered a 100 mile radius because I was looking for a certain laptop called the lenovo ideapad yoga 2 pro with the i7 processor. I found a store in Racine WI, and I immediately called them up at around 3:00pm cst. I asked the lady who picked up the phone if they still had the laptop in stock, she told me to wait and then after 5 min said yes they have it in stock. I told her to make sure that it is on stock because I live close to 3 hours away in Plainfield IL. She told that yes they did have it in stock. So I drove about 95 miles all the way Racine WI. When I got there I asked a employee there if that I came for the YOGA 2 PRO open box and I gave him the SKU number. He checked his computer and told me that they still had it in stock. He went to go get it from the inventory ,but came back in less then 2 min and told me he couldn't find it. I asked another employee to go get and they did the same thing. I spoke to the person in charge in the computer area and they told me that they still had it in stock and that no one had bought it yet , but they can't find where the computer is. I told them I spoke to a lady on the phone and she told me that they he did indeed have it. When I tried to find the same person I talked to on the phone they left work and weren't even there. I told them that I drove about 3 hours for this laptop and they didn't seem to care
If someone else had bought the laptop before I arrived I wouldn't be so mad. But the fact that the Best best employees are so careless that they can't even locate a laptop that they told me they have, is just unacceptable. I even asked them if someone had bought it before I arrived and they told me they still have it, but just are not able to locate it, all they told me after waiting in the store for about a hour was "sorry" they told me they couldn't do anything about it, the person actually seemed amused I drove all there for no reason.
what I think happened was that when I called for the laptop , the lady on the phone hid the laptop for herself or lied to me. Both of which are just unacceptable. This was the worst experience I ever had at a store, and sadly there is nothing I...
Read moreAlways a big fan of Best Buy. Recently I purchased a Lenovo computer advertising that it included a one-year subscription to Office 365. This is what convinced me to purchase this product. Upon configuring the PC I found no Office 365 included. Quick drive to Best Buy where Sales Rep Austin explained that it is included but for $50 more. He did his best to explain that its included but there is an additional cost of $50. This isn't noted anywhere on the product spec's tag. I asked why this wasn't explained at the time of purchase. He ventured that most likely a sales rep from a different department sold the PC to me and that he wasn't aware of the additional cost to the included price. Supervisor Anthony also offered that a sales rep not familiar with the technology section could have made the sale. He told me I just cant give you Office. As far as I was concerned I paid for it once already. The PC I purchased was found by the original sales rep as I had requested his assistance in finding one with Office included. We discussed many different models before selecting the one I ultimately purchased.
Bottom line, Austin and Anthony did their best to explain the additional cost. They both suggested that a sales rep unfamiliar with the product could have sold it to me. This must happen often as this was a quick response to my question.
I still cannot see where the additional cost came from. I finally purchased Office 365 as I needed it right away. After tax it was $52.54, a cost that I feel very angry and disappointed in Best Buy for. I have purchased at Best Buy for many years and never had a single problem. I don't see this as a customer over site, the tag is extremely misleading and the sales rep never mentioned it. He was happy he found a model that I liked, had what I wanted and made the sale.
Very dissatisfied with Best Buy. Please use caution with purchases and make sure your sales rep is familiar with the products you are looking at and isn't covering from...
