Danco Modern Furniture — Local services in Mount Pleasant

Really wanted to like this place. They have a pretty eclectic collection and it’s one of the few furniture places in Mount Pleasant that has options besides “grandmas furniture.” We picked up a $4,000 European King Size fold out bed from them which is terribly uncomfortable, both for sitting and sleeping. The bed isn’t really even a mattress it’s more like a stiff foam pad. It was so bad we had to get a topper for it. Anyway the real disappointment was on the day it was delivered we could just tell it wasn’t going to work, we called and the women who sold it to us gave me some excuse that because it’s a “mattress….they can’t take it back” and suggested I take it to a re-saler…. Despite it still having the wrapping on it. My hunch is the woman who sold it to us needed the sale, because I’ve bought and returned other furniture and mattresses that were easily returnable with many other stores and manufacturers I’ve worked with. We also bought a couple of office chairs which were fine but still a bit too pricey for what they are. You’d be better off buying a Aeron. The furniture here is beautifully designed and very high quality. The sales staff let me take my time looking around and testing the feel of the sofas and chairs, but were at my beck and call as soon as I needed them. I was so impressed I bought not only the sofa I was shopping for, (Italian design white leather) but also purchased a deep havana leather Norwegian recliner. Recently when the recliner needed an adjustment, the owner sent 2 people to pick up the chair, repaired it quickly at a very minimal cost, and delivered it at my convenience.
