I took a brand new and unworn, expensive watch that my wife had just given me for an anniversary to Lux Jewel Exchange to have a few links removed. I called ahead to ask if they remove links and was told yes, but the lady who sizes watches will be in the next day. I asked the cost and was told $20.
The next day I went to have the links removed and the associate determined how many links to remove and I waited for her to do the work. It only took a few minutes but I remember hearing this loud pounding that seemed aggressive for a watch. I didn't think anymore about it. The associate said "it's $30." That's not was I was quoted but, no big deal I thought, and paid the bill.
However, I put the watch on today (day after links were removed) and noticed that the Lux employee damaged the sides of several links and also didn't insert the pins properly so the watch can catch on clothing and I am not certain they won't fall out. I called the manufacturer and they said to send the watch in because if they inserted the pins incorrectly, there will certainly be damage to the bracelet and it could fall off and be lost or further damaged. The manufacturer recommended I replace the bracelet at a total cost of $128. I informed manager at Lux and he said he "didn't feel that was necessary" and gave me $12 to replace the visibly damaged links. The issue is that Lux damaged two of the permanent links and I need a new bracelet/band. I am so beyond disappointed that such a simple procedure resulted in damage to my new watch and feel the manager at Lux should have paid for a new bracelet in order to put my new watch back to the condition it was in when I entered their store. It is said that you learn a lot about the character and integrity of people not when things are going well but rather in times of difficulty and challenge. Lux Jewel Exchange failed the integrity test and now my watch has been back in the hands of the manufacturer's service center for two weeks and it's up to me to pay to repair the damage done by Lux. What a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had the pleasure to have Luxe Jewel Exchange help me with finding the perfect anniversary diamond wedding band to stack with my other band and diamond. They sized the ring for me and I absolutely love it! I also had a green tourmaline ring that needed to be repaired and Luxe took the time to find the exact color stone to match the other stones. I am so happy I met the owners at Luxe Jewel Exchange. They were so helpful with finding me what I wanted within my budget. They keep prices displayed next to jewelry which I appreciate so I can admire each piece in their beautiful display case. I was able to trade in broken gold and purchase something new. Their location is very easy to find next to Town Centre in Mount Pleasant. They made me feel very comfortable finding what I could afford and very comfortable selling gold unlike other stores I have been to. Thank you Luxe Jewel Exchange for all of your help!...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had an amazing experience buying my engagement ring at Luxe Jewel Exchange! Leslie, Tim, and Brian were incredibly helpful and patient throughout the entire process. We didnāt feel any pressure to purchase right away (like we got when we went to the big box stores). Leslie even spent over 2hrs with us one night teaching and showing us everything we should consider and look for when buying a diamond. It was all very clearly explained. I learned so much and felt more confident with our purchase. Iām so happy with all the work they did finding us the perfect diamond and setting!! Shopping for jewelry, especially an engagement ring can be very stressful and overwhelming. Itās a big purchase and with so many ring options and retailers to choose from it can be hard to know who you can trust and who can offer the best price. I would recommend shopping with Luxe...
