Buyers and sellers beware! This is NOT the place where you want to do business! As a customer you will be treated very rudely and if you are a seller or someone who rents a booth your customers will be treated rudely. This off the beaten path place of business chooses to offend people and disregard them from the moment they walk in the door. In bold letters on the door it states -NO RESTROOMS. When the owner was asked if this is for real he rudely stated "This is restaurant, this is a gift shop. If you need a bathroom you can go next door to CVS" A simple apology would have done it but the tone and arrogance was totally unexpected, unprofessional and certainly unnecessary! Wouldn’t you think that a decent business would let someone use their restroom? As if this wasn't bad enough the owner proceeded to ease drop in on a private conversation that I was having with the new booth renter about the bathroom situation and the owner proceeded to tell me I could not talk to them and that I had to leave the store. Not only was I horrified but the booth renter was very shaken too by this unethical behavior. Then the tacky men behind the desk proceeded to discuss what part of the North I was from. Clearly they don’t want Yankees in their store. So keep your hard earned dollars in your pocket. If I could give this business a -0 I would as I am not the only one to be thrown out of the store. Read the Yelps and you will see a poor lady was also treated rudely for putting a cup in what she thought was a trash receptacle inside the the door. If you like being treated rudely and like to have your freedom of speech taken away then this is the place for you if not then...
Read moreYa'll, this place is horrible. I'm still in shock at my experience even as I write this. I love shopping local, I think it's important for our community. I went out of my way to go to this store for a garden archway. While those were out of my budget (over $300 for a white rusted one) they had a few planters I liked. I came in with my child (age 5) and was in line to pay when their yippie dog started to bar.I'm assuming the dog is aggressive because my daughter took two steps towards the back of the checkout counter and the old red haired woman YELLED at my daughter. I started to leave when she continued to yell at me about not watching my kid. Listen, I'm not that mom who isn't aware when her kid is being a jerk. I get it, kids can be out of control sometimes and they have a lot breakables around so they want us to be extra vigilant. However, my daughter, who loves dogs, simply looked around for the dog she heard and made natural movements to see the source of the noise. As we left, my daughter simply said "she was mean and rude, we shouldn't go in there again." I couldn't...
Read moreI'd like to apologize to Eclectic for entering their establishment with an empty, clear cup. I was met at the door with an immediate "no food or drinks" welcome but it was clear that my cup was empty (I tossed out the last few ice cubes near a tree). I smiled politely and was about to mention that I only wanted to dispose of said empty cup but before I could even ask to use the trash can, the man continued with, "and I don't have a trash can. We aren't a trash service." I'm sure the look of shock was written all over my face because I never in a million years would have expected anyone to tell me I couldn't put a 12 oz clear cup in their trash (and especially not in such a rude way). I honestly thought maybe the man was joking around so I smiled and asked, "are you being serious?" He responded, "as a heart attack." We had a very odd experience and then I read the many negative reviews. Now it makes sense. We chose to not give them our business and most definitely never will. Thanks GOODNESS we didn't ask...
