Indigo Nail Spa — Local services in Mount Pleasant

I have had three terrible experiences here. First, I went in to have my SNS (that this salon did) removed after an awesome experience with Iris, who is no longer there. It took 45 minutes because the owner started the process and kept walking away.

Second, I made an appointment on Saturday for SNS and a pedicure. It took nearly 2 hours because I had to wait to get started, and everyone kept walking away from me mid-treatment! Finally, I went back today (5 days later) because my SNS was peeling away from the nail and i wanted them redone. The owner looked and said she didn’t see anything. After arguing back and forth, she told me to come back at 6:30 because they were busy. When I came back, she continued to argue with me. The lady who originally did my nails tried to glue one nail at first, instead of redoing it. Around 6:50 she started to work on my nails, and I was finally done at 7:20, but with the wrong color so now my nails are mismatched.

I completely blame the owner for these experiences and for her poor management of the salon. It’s clear employees are leaving, or having bad experiences working there. I spent more time arguing with her and being told she didn’t see any problems than it took for my nails...

The nail techs were very kind! My complaint isn’t about the customer service but the quality of work. I paid $40 (before tip) for a gel manicure this past Saturday and my nails have already started peeling from the cuticles. Typically a gel manicure will last me at least 2 weeks but peeling after 6 days is disappointing especially as this is the most expensive gel manicure I’ve paid for yet. Ms. Kim did a great job changing out my nail color that I got at a different salon the same day. She spent extra time to file my nails better than the other place also. I went with the 5D cat eye style polish and she helped me pick a great color. She spent time to nourish my cuticles and hands after the polish removal and change. This is something that was not done at the other location either. Definitely give them a try!! I’m definitely going to give them more business and will be trying the waxing...
