If I could give this location a negative amount of stars I would. I visited this location with my two daughters Tuesday night and received by far the worst customer service experience from Ms. Laurel Lowe, whom is supposed to be a great leader and positive aspect for this company but it's very sad to say that she is dragging Cookout's reputation through the mud. For starters, we ordered two club style cookout trays and two additional hot dogs through the drive through got the incorrect order twice (not to mention having to drive around and go inside the lobby to remake our own drinks that were watered down.) Upon arriving it was very obvious that Ms. Lowe may have been under extreme stress being that they were short handed and she was working both the lobby and the drive thru at the same time. Was this an inconvenience to us? Most definitely, as it would've been to any other customer who just wanted some "fast food". However, this was the least of our concern when we are dealing with a "manager" who doesn't have to common sense or decency to show any type of empathy or compassion for her and her team's mistakes, along with very poor body language, aggressive facial expressions as well as a very mis-directed irritive tone, when customers are simply asking to get what they paid for exactly as requested (no mayo on a club style chicken sandwich as well as an actual chicken sandwich instead of being given a pulled pork sandwich which was never requested nor listed on our receipt.) Upon requesting for the correct sandwich that we ordered we were very shocked to be greeted by a very snarly glare and absolute denial and refusal of service when this mistake was on their behalf. I believe it is safe to say we were treated like dogs and felt very helpless after being placed on no trespassing by Ms. Lowe after simply requesting a refund as well as her name and Cookout's corporate information. My daughter left hungry and we all left very helpless and confused as to how a simple request for the correct sandwich turned into a bigger altercation that it needed to be. We did alert local authorities being that we felt cheated of our hard earned money and with the way Ms. Lowe was handling things, it may have escalated father than it did. Not only did my daughter and I contacted corporate's office, we attempted to also reach out to the district manager, John, whom still haven't reached back out to either of us regarding this matter. We still have yet to even receive an apology from a higher level of management not to mention a refund. Luckily I serve an awesome God and I believe unjust will never prosper He sees everything and I have faith that he will turn this situation around. Hopefully this review with grab the attention of locals to never visit this specific location, your best option if you'd like Cookout is to visit the store off of University Blvd in Ladson, SC where customers are treated with respect and dignity. & just a tip for anyone who may be having a bad day working in the food and bev industry just remember, you signed up for this. Don't take it out on innocent customers that you couldn't find a better career field. If you don't enjoy what you're doing, find another job. I'm pretty sure McDonald's...
Read moreTwo plain hotdogs, hotdog and bun and a plain hamburger I pulled up to the window I've never been there before. What do you want on it? What comes on it nothing so you want plain I said I want to have they come so I got two plain hotdogs, just meat and bun and meat and bun for hamburger First time ever been to cookout last time I've ever been a cookout. Thank you for not doing anything to help me out the guy the one who could've said whatever you want on them you have to tell me, but that's not what he said he just kept saying so you want them playing it's not my fault you have to work till midnight. I said I want everything 2 times and he kept saying so you want it plain? First and last time. I haven't had a plain hotdog since I was four years old but OK I guess you don't trust people to like what you cook so we got two for service I knew it wasn't gonna be fresh because I ordered Pulled straight up to the window and he handed me the back so hotdogs taste like they were made seven hours ago like he would at home and then you ain't leftover hotdogs but at least nothing on it. Kind of gives it flavor.. I gave it one for atmosphere because the only atmosphere I had was the guy at the window and he had the personality of a shoe. I guess it's my fault that I haven't been to a restaurant before they just search plain food. You could've said hey, you have to tell me what you want on it. Then they closed 20 minutes early.. probably why I got the trash that was left over. Well lucky me I didn't even get the cheese that I asked for. Thank you sir at the window, just a hamburger! Terrible! Two cold patties on a stale bun? Why? Because I got my order in three seconds stale hotdog bun and a hotdog it taste like it was from earlier today, Terrible! I actually lowered the rating after I had the food because it was that terrible... the bun is actually chewy! This is the worst fast food I've ever had in my life and I'm 51 years old. What a toilet! That isn't worth $1! The second hot dog bun is actually hard. Just go to 7-Eleven...
Read moreBought a few burgers on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Mt. Pleasant SC location. Brought home to eat. Wife was eating when she let out a shrilling scream. A foreign hard object in the burger cracked her rear tooth IN HALF on what she described as a metal object in burger she was consuming. Contacted company. Sent us a letter and a coupon for food. What a joke! Took one week for Cook Out insurance company, (Nationwide Insurance), to call us concerning this incident. Seeking minimum 1800.00+ reimbursement for dental bills to fix. Insurance Denied today. Worst experience of our lives. Permanent damage to structural integrity of tooth in wife's mouth which will require follow up care and more expense. This company and Nationwide Insurance, (in our humble opinion), cares less about its customers. Based on our experience, we deduce that COOK OUT's food Is UNSAFE to consume. Next time you bite into a Cook Out burger, (you are a fool to expose yourself to this company's products due to apparent lack of quality control by either the company or company food suppliers), know that you perhaps could be swallowing something that could crack your tooth in half, (as is in my Wife's case), or imperil your internal organs. What havoc and damage would that foreign object cause to your intestinal tract if it made its way through your bowel system? That foreign object not meant for human consumption, could tear the intestinal lining up in your digestive system and cause internal bleeding. ...
