My experience started out great with the sales woman, Cheryl, unfortunately the friendly service ended after I swiped my credit card. I purchased a couch and delivery was scheduled for the next day. The delivery team arrived the next day as expected but refused to enter my home unless all occupants were wearing masks. “No mask, No couch.”Unfortunately for them, they do not get to call the shots in my house. They reloaded the couch and left my driveway. I called the store and spoke with the manager, Brian, who was less than friendly. Brian advised he would contact his delivery team and speak to them. A short time later the delivery team returned, rang the door bell and brought the couch inside our home with an awkward silence and horrible attitude. The delivery team then left without further incident. Brian never called me back as promised to follow up on this incident, so I decide to call him back and follow up. After 3 attempts I finally reached Brian and his less than friendly attitude. Brian did not offer any explanation, apology or follow up of any kind and instead bragged about being in business for 80 years and pointed out that I did not wear a mask while in his store. I explained to Brian that I would have been fine leaving his store if he approached me, however he nor his employees did, and I suspect this was because he didn’t want to lose a sale. Moral of this long and uneventful story is; If you like a delivery man showing up at your house with an attitude telling you that you need to wear a mask in your own house, then maybe Stuckey Furniture is the company for you, if you like enjoying the basic freedoms our country was founded on then you might consider shopping elsewhere. As for Stuckey Furniture, thanks for the comfy couch but you may want to reconsider your customer service approach and find some delivery personnel who aren’t afraid to encounter humans...
Read moreWe recently moved to Charleston from upstate NY. Our Stickley couch reclining motors were damaged during a recent storm and one of the lifts was stuck in an upright position. After a call to Stickley, I was told the local dealer is Stuckey Furniture. I called Brian, the manager, and explained my issue. He was extremely helpful and walked me through the information needed to order new motors. Given the delay in parts due to Covid, he made sure he communicated on a regular basis. We decided to order one motor and make sure it was the issue before ordering a second. Our motor arrived, it’s installed and my leg lift is in great working order. Brian was kind, professional and extremely helpful. I browsed their furniture when I went to pick up the motor and plan to buy needed pieces when we are in...
Read moreI can't say enough good things about Stuckey Furniture. My husband and I recently purchased a mattress from Stuckey. Every bit of our experience with their sales team was an absolute pleasure. Before visiting Stuckey, we went to one of those big box furniture stores in North Charleston. The big box store wouldn't budge on price, delivery fee nor would they remove our old mattress from our house after delivery. Stuckey was willing to work with us, didn't charge us for delivery AND removed our old mattress from our house for free. The delivery team gave us only a 30-minute window and even showed up 10 minutes early! As a bonus, we were happy to give our business to a local family-owned company. We can't wait to do business with Stuckey again...
