Hobby Lobby — Local services in Mount Pleasant

The store is kept clean and has a large variety of crafts and hobbies, well for now, I guess. I was astounded to see several model kits. This is my personal hobby, all priced as "Reduced" and not by the normal 40% off. These were 75% off. These were the prices I had when I was a child building plastic models. I had to ask why they were doing this. I found an extremely helpful worker in the next aisle and asked. She told me they are doing away with some types of models to make room for other products. Now I sincerely hope they don't eliminate all this type of hobby from their store. The modeling paint has diminished in types and brands and increased in price. In fact, I no longer buy it here for the major increase of $.50 per 1/4 Oz of testors paint products. This is my time to take my mother to town. And I spend a lot of money here every week. But if they discontinue my hobby, I'll be sitting in the truck while my mom spends her money in the store. With the hobby stores all going away with the infusion of the internet, this is the last outlet left in northern Michigan really for a model builder. What would be nice to see would be a larger selection of Mr. Color paints. The 5 colors you have just aren't...

I love shopping at Hobby Lobby! So many useful decorations & hitting the sales are a bonus. Everyone is very nice with one exception. There is a female cashier whom I would say crosses the line on being professional. I was in retail over 30 years. I've dealt with this gal atleast 3 times while in HL. Things just come out of her mouth the way she wants them to be said instead of speaking kind & professionalionaly. I also sense other Employee's skurry around her because they don't want to be on her bad side. I'm seriously surprised Management hasn't spoke to her regarding her attitude & tone. Smaller than other Hobby Lobby locations I have visited. Still a lot of cool stuff in here! Arts, crafts, projects, decorations a ton of beads, yarn, fabric, fake flowers... they also have great prices! I love the prices and they have good sales! I love their ergonomic crochet hooks. Good little place. Main complaint right before Christmas or right after, they should have more employees. They had 2 lanes open and one was for returns, the other one already with a line also... it just results in a longer wait to check out your stuff when you have to wait on someone for an exchange, return, refund ect... overall a...
