Today I ordered in the drive thru. I was with my mom and my two little sisters. The girl placing our order was very rude, impatient, and continuously cut us off. Sure it took us a minute to figure it what we wanted and we changed our mind on an item but when you have kids that is bound to happen. I understand that it be annoying because I've worked in food service but regardless it wasn't good service. Afrer we pulled up to the window I looked in the bag and I didn't see my small soup. So we let the girl know and she shuts the window on us while we were talking to her. So rude!! Then I looked in the bag again and I didn't see the other soup or our receipt so we let her know when she came back. She shuts the window us AGAIN!! Then the manager comes back and ask us for our bag back to check it. So we gave the bag back. The manager open the window to let us know that the 2 small soups were at the very bottom. I didn't see them which was my bad. However the manager was extremely rude!! Her eyes were popping out of her head and her tone was agressive. When we confronted her about how rude she was being she tolled her eye at us and continues to speak to us disrespectful. She was treating us like we were intentional trying to steal when in reality it was honest mistake on my part. My family will never come back to our local panera bread here in mount pleasant again!! That manager should not be in a leadership roll. It's obvious a bad attitude and being rude to customers is the atmosphere that she...
Read moreI work in a restaurant with a drive thru, and I know holidays are hard, especially Black Friday. Iâve been Black Friday shopping today since 6 am, and I stopped by Panera to grab one soufflĂ©. The parking lot was a ghost town, and the cafe appeared empty as well, but shockingly, an old woman with short, white hair who I would assume to be some type of manager felt it was appropriate to speak badly about her employees to me for the crime of spending time with their families out of town over the holidays. She said that they âdidnât want to come to workâ because they all left town for Thanksgiving and that âwasnât a good enough excuse.â As a supervisor myself, I would never embarrass myself by ridiculing my coworkers to a customer. Especially not for something so ridiculous. If you legitimately expect your coworkers to prioritize their job at Panera over spending quality time with their loved ones on a holiday, you're delusional and selfish. Have some empathy.
I also want to add that that old woman was the only employee at that Panera who has ever left a bad...
Read moreI ordered online and when I started the order it said ready in 5-10 minutes. I ordered just over $100 of food (including soups, cookies and coffees). When I ordered I was about 40 minutes from Panera so I waited 25 minutes to order so that it wouldnât be cold when I got there.
Once I pressed order it said cause the order was large it wouldnât be ready for over 1 hr. I called the store directly to see if they could get it done any quicker and the guy was so rude!!!!!!! No this is a large order over $100! Soooo if I would have taken 2 cookies off it would have been under $100 and then he would have had to have the order ready in 5-10 minutes! Sooo irritating and zero willingness to help us out and just blamed the website and took zero ownership!!!! We had just had our baby get shots at the doctors which is over 1 hr from our home, we were heading to bring lunch home for the family and apparently being understanding and helpful is no longer protocol in the hospitality industry. Just being rude and inconsiderate! So frustrated with Panera and will not be...
