Husband ordered floral arrangement from here for our wedding anniversary, and it was delivered with torn, dry leaves, with some dry brittle baby's breath. A few of the carnations had some torn browned areas. We called to complain and kept being interrupted by Rayna repeating that the baby's breath was ordered specially for me (really?!), and had just arrived the night before, and that due to Mother's Day being the week before there were zero flowers to be had anywhere. When we persisted, they offered to send a small, seasonal arrangement in a week or so. At this point we were not impressed with their cavalier attitude and excuses and requested a refund. We were willing to drop the arrangement off as well, since we didn't really want to keep it. The owner insisted that the flowers could have wilted in the several hours we had them in our possession (we told them we had photos), or that they could have wilted during transportation in the delivery truck. My husband actually had called to confirm delivery, and Rayna said the flowers were being delivered in 20 minutes (this is the amount of time it takes from the florist to our apartment), which it did. So according to the owner, the arrangement wilted in 20 minutes. The owner refused the refund because they delivered the bouquet, and had offered a replacement (small seasonal bouquet which is of much lesser value). When we said we would report her business she capitulated and agreed to a full refund. We actually thought the flowers looked liked leftovers from Mother's Day, that hadn't sold! On a minor note, (certainly would not have complained about just this) the heart shape was not well done, we have definitely seen more skilled arrangements. Some ribbons were frayed on the sides, and bottoms of some ribbons were flat, not pointed. First time ordering from this florist as we are new to Mountain View. In our experience floral arrangements that are in the hundred dollar range always come in a glass vase as well. This one was plastic, and the insert looked poorly done and was falling...
Read moreI recently hired Carolyn to help me with floral arrangements for my wedding and I was very happy with her work.
Prior to my wedding, I chose her for the following reasons: Unlike the other vendors I found and contacted prior to meeting Carolyn, she quickly earned my trust by demonstrating the following (which in my own opinion made all the difference): She listens to what I want, she doesn't try to up sell premium flowers. She gave me a few suggestions based on what I'm looking for and explains why she makes such suggestions, and then let me make the final decision. She is responsive, and most importantly, she sticks to my budget.
After my wedding, I highly recommend her for the following reasons: After seeing the arrangements, I realized that she went way above and beyond my expectations. The boutonnières, the centerpieces, the arch decorations, all of them were gorgeous and creative. This is, of course, in addition to showing up on time, working smoothly with the venue manager to ensure everything was where they were supposed to be within the given time slot. A lot of my guests complimented on the flowers, simply because Carolyn did that wonderful of a job.
Overall, I'd say that she's super easy to work with. It was a complete hassle-free experience. I wish all the vendors were more like her! I will definitely come back for all my...
Read moreAmazing service and a totally different and unique experience from a customers perspective. I sent flowers to my friend for her graduation in mountain view. I received an email from the owner asking if they can do the delivery on the same day. First time i've ever had contact with the owner of a business literally 5 minutes after the order was placed. Carolyn was polite and passionate about her product which i really appreciate. It's the kind of passion and care very business owner should strive for.
10 minutes later she had the flowers on the way and they looked simply beautiful. She even arranged some extra flowers in the mix. The best part is, all of this happened over email while i was sitting in a restaurant 2600 miles away from mountain view. I can only imagine how amazing a customers experience is in person.
I highly recommend Mountain View Grant Florist. It's simply the best and most personal experience i have ever had and it was very refreshing to feel that way in a very technologically driven society. A little kindness and human connection goes a long way and can never be replaced...
