Delicious! Quick, casual taqueria that has a real way with spices. We went twice while visiting the area.
Food: We had the pupusas (solid & delicious, although I think maybe not made fresh?), the quesadillas with squash blossom (excellent!), the chips & guac (sturdy & flavorful, with a very chunky guac that I quite liked), and the fish tacos (extremely messy to eat, somewhat overfilled, but light, summery, and well-cooked). Everything was good except the coleslaw, which we found a bit too vinegary - but we got it for free with our order so it's hard to complain about that. The pupusas deserve special mention for being delightful little pockets of melted cheese and whatever else you desire - it's worth going here just for them.
Prices: $4-5 for sides, $10-$13 for mains. We fed two hungry people for

Great place for some pupusas and standard Salvadoran fare. Their pupusas are fluffy, not greasy and my favorite are generously stuffed with pork chicharrones, beans and cheese (revueltas).
The curtido is a bit on the salty side, which tells me they most likely salt cured the cabbage, not blanched it the traditional way.
The salsa (Salvadoran) is a good runny/mild consistency and flavor. I always get the fried plantain plate with runny refried beans (which should be red beans, but are pintos for a more Mexican twist) and they come with a generous portion of crema.
Only two stars because the service is a bit slow, and mostly because the place needs a good thorough deep cleaning. There is trash on the lot outside which looks like it's been there for weeks. The tables are clean, but the floors, the windows and such are in desperate need of some 409!
I come here mostly for nostalgia's sake. I grew up in El Salvador. Eating the authentic thing sets my standards pretty high, and there's a real lack of good Latin food in the area. Granted I'm newish to the area, still looking for the go-to spot regardless if it's Salvadoran, Mexican,...

Six months ago this would have been a four star review... but the last three times I've picked up food there, they got the order wrong and handed me stuff I won't be able to get my family to eat. I'm on to them now and I ask them to remake it... but why does it keep happening in the first place?
The last time I was there, the lady I believe to be the head cook and some other lady who appeared to be an owner or manager were having a quite loud and obnoxious argument right up front by the front register in Spanish. They may have assumed I couldn't understand as I do not look like I would be likely to understand, but I did understand, and they were both being petty. My daughter who was with me was easily able to tell they were arguing without the ability to understand Spanish, as could (I assume) the patrons sitting at the tables less than ten feet from where the argument was taking place.
We used to love this place, but as of March 2015, we won't...
