I ordered 2 tall cement planters on August 24th in store from a sales associate. I was told they would be available for pick up in two weeks, approx. Sept. 7th. On September 6th I received a call they had arrived at the warehouse and were ready for pick up. I was out of town and scheduled to pick them up on September 10th. I called on September 10th and verified they were ready to be picked up and then drove down to the warehouse. When I arrived at the warehouse they spent 30 minutes looking for them and then told me they couldn’t find them. The sales associate explained their warehouse manager had recently been fired and no one knew where anything was. She took me to a senior sales associate and she offered to give me the floor models at a 10% discount, which I declined because I wanted new in box planters. They offered to re-order them and said they would be at the warehouse within 1-2 weeks, approx. Sept 17-24. When I suggested to the senior sales associate they offer me complementary delivery for the hour spent driving there and waiting just to leave empty handed, she scoffed at me and said, “well I can just give you your money back if that’s what you want?!” If it wasn’t for the warehouse associate apologizing and sharing in my disappointment I would have taken the refund and left. I reluctantly agreed to have them reordered and left. It’s now October 1st, I STILL have not heard from anyone at Scandinavian Design. Obviously they have zero follow through, take no ownership of their mistakes and have no interest in prioritizing customers, even after...
Read moreI’ve referred so many people to Scandinavian Designs over the years, and my own company has spent a lot of money with them, but the way this store is being managed now is unacceptable. Diamond, the GM at this location, seriously needs real training on how to lead a team and communicate. They are doing a terrible job – basic orders are mishandled, customer care is non-existent, and there’s no accountability.
On top of that, it’s a constant finger-pointing game between staff. If you ever have to deal with them, make sure you log every interaction because no one takes responsibility when mistakes happen.
They’ll even go so far as to confirm and schedule delivery for a non-existent order — how convenient when people are on tight deadlines trying to get furniture shipped and in place. That’s not just sloppy, that’s reckless.
And don’t even get me started on their payment processing — first it’s “bill pay,” then it’s “Shopify pay,” then suddenly they “only accept” whatever random option they feel like that day.
It’s frustrating when a brand I’ve trusted and supported for so long can’t even get the fundamentals right. Scandinavian Designs needs to take a hard look at management here, because the current...
Read moreEverything here is very poor quality and ridiculously over priced. If I am going to be spending $1500 or more on a dining room table I expect it to be stable and not wobble worse than a fold out plastic table.
Another downright idiotic thing that I saw were couches with tiny little legs skinnier than stiletto heels and made of metal so that when the coach collapses it’s guaranteed to wreck your floor at the same time.
If you like over priced gimmicks that will fail and insist upon paying a premium you’ll...
