It was absolutely terrible! We had our orders taken the restaurant was pretty empty. Just a few tables finishing up their free pie. We were seated, orders were taken in a normal amount of time. Simple order. Burger, two orders of fries and some breakfast items. It took almost 30 minutes for food to come out. Our server Jessie we saw her once. That was to bring the food out. She smelled of HORRIBLE cigarette smoke (imagine an ashtray) and immediately set my asthma off. No big deal. I thanked her for bringing the food, she smiled walked away and that was the last we saw of her. Our drinks were gone and there was no hope for a refill as empty as that place was she was no where to be found. 20 minutes pass and we're getting ready to leave we had to track her down for our pie and why not maybe a refill. I mean they charged us over $5 for two drinks. So, she came back to the table got our pie order, she asked if we needed anything else. We politely asked for refills she smiled and walked away. 10 minutes later our pie comes. Still no drinks. Oh well we start eating our slices and are getting up to leave. FINALLY OUR DRINKS COME HALLELOO! Sadly, by this time we're already leaving to pay. I had had enough. I understand it is a hard job to do. I myself am in a the food service industry, but come on. That's just ridiculous. AND they overcharged me. Which I will be calling about here in...
Read moreLet me start off by saying I LOVE THE VI, I worked here for nearly 3 years, but.... At 1:45 am on October 22, myself and 5 friends walked in to this, our neighborhood Village Inn and requested a table. The server that greeted us was quickly accompanied by a manager, Jason, that told us we could not stay there in the restaurant past 2:30am because his register was closing. (Village Inn is open 24 hours a day Friday and Saturday.) Just to confirm with him before we left, I said we could pay our tabs by 2:30, when he needed to close his drawer, and he said, “No, you have to leave by 2:30.” So we left then.
I called the restaurant about 10 minutes after I left and asked for the Manager, he answered and I asked what time they were open till tonight. His answer, “WE ARE OPEN 24 HOURS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY”
When confronted with the question of, “If you are open 24 hours tonight, why was my table turned away?” He didn’t have an answer. We ended our conversation and we found ourselves at IHOP and I’ve got to say my least favorite resturant of all but guess what, they sat us and served the 6 of us hot food in a timely manor and the server made at least 40 bucks on our one easy table.
I guess it goes to show you never know who you’re talking to and how serving guests in a polite manor...
Read moreOk all you foodies looking for good food at a fair price, these Village Inns are the place to go. My wife and I travel up and down the Wasatch front We have visited many a breakfast house or restaurants that serve breakfast and have been disappointed to say the least. As we were driving through the town of Murray I remember the village inn so we stopped in to the village in and then (little poetry for y'all) decided to have their breakfast which as usual was very good I had chicken fried steak and eggs with hash browns and pancakes My wife had one of their skillets I had a orange juice, she had a coffee and it was just a good old-fashioned very tasty breakfast and it was Wednesday and after 10:00 in the morning it's free pie Wednesday They also have great pies I just have to tell you it's also a restaurant that actually gives you salt and pepper shakers cuz the salt and pepper really does come out without having to unscrew the lid and dribble it over your food in fact if you go there and you use the salt and pepper shakers it comes out really fast but that's okay with me It was great. So if you have a village inn and your town near you I highly recommend going there and just having a good...
