Kohl's — Local services in Murrieta

The store was recently renovated and is now a mess.

1. There is only one women's dressing room which made for an overwhelmed staff trying to keep up with the messy rooms.
2. There is only one checkout area which made for a line of 50 people deep the entire time I shopped which was over an hour.
3. there were no shopping carts/bags available.
4. There were no price scanners available. I asked an employee how to check prices and I was told to scan the price from the Kohl's app. I refuse allow Kohl's to track anything personal just to find a price.
5. From previous experìnce, this store has horrible internet connection so requiring a customer to verify prices through your website is ridiculous especially when items are commonly not in the location they are meant to be and clearance items marked down are likely to be priced differently than the tag shows.
6. I was advised that there was a dedicated Amazon return area but the Kohls returns are now shared with the extremely long single checkout line.
7. The new layout of the store did not allow carts to manuever through the store. On four occasions I witnessed people moving displays on wheels just to get through ailes. I will be cancelling my Kohl's card due to this shopping experience. I will not shop online either because of the potential long line just to return. The shopping experience was less than one star. Genuinely had one of the rudest encounters I’ve ever had at this store. I went for an amazing return today 8/16 around 1pm and was in line for what I thought was the return line. The older lady with a short white bob haircut behind the counter rudely said to us “this is the AMAZON return line so you NEED to be in this line!!.” I of course wasnt trying to cut anyone in line so I just followed behind the other people and didn’t know I was in the wrong line, my bad. I approached the counter and was greeted by a rude lady sighing in annoyance at me and then I pulled up my Amazon shipping information. I did not know it wasn’t able to be dropped off at Kohl’s completely my mistake but she was EXTREMELY rude on how she handled it. She said in a very demeaning and rude tone “that’s doesn’t say khols, you can’t take that here and scoffed, THAT IS UPS so take it to UPS….. I was baffled at how she spoke to me. I haven’t made an Amazon return before and was told by family to just take it to khols. It obviously was my bad for not checking the drop off instructions but I would have been happy to be informed to take it to ups if it was in a nicer tone, I would have been completely understanding. This woman was so rude it was shocking. I’ve never experienced this level of rudeness while visiting a store in my life. My husband and I called and made a complaint with a manager named Shelley and she was helpful and apologized for our experience. I hope that management can teach this employee how to...

I have written a few reviews in my life....but after my experience with Kevin in the Murrieta store....he deserves this review! I have been so upset with Kohl's because when I return items and do not have a receipt they say...they can never find the item....which is a bunch of bs....and when they do find it....they give me half of what I paid! I purchased a George Foreman grill for my husband for Christmas....I went to use it for the first time a few weeks ago and it did not work...the lid was so loose the pork chops rolled off the grill. I went to return the item at a different Kohl's location and they say the could not find the item on my Kohl's credit card. I went to the Murrieta store and the gentlemen name Kevin helped find the item with no problem...even though they did not carry the exact item. I have had nothing but problems with Kohl's when it comes to returns with no receipt...even though I used my Kohls card...but Kevin renewed my faith in them. He was so awesome...I thought for sure he was the manager. Half the time I go into this store....the employees are grumpy and not helpful. Kevin was the complete opposite. Thank you Kevin for your help. I will be back again...
