Got my iPhone 7 screen cracked. Didn't have a chance to go to the original Apple Store so I decided to go to iFix in Coastal Grand Mall. First they told me the higher price than it's in the Apple Store but then they gave me a "discount" so the price would be the same. They told me the screen wouldn't be original but the same with original so nobody would see the difference. I left my phone and when I came back first I have seen were the changed display colors. They are literally way LESS colorful than they used to be. I was super upset about it but the guys told me they can't do anything but changing the screen again. I got used to these colors, when some bright spots appeared on the phone screen. I went to iFix again and they changed the screen, light spot disappeared and everything seemed alright. But now the proximity sensor stopped working (that thing which turns off the screen when you talk on the phone and hold it by your ear) so now when I talk on the phone screen is working all the times and some buttons are always pushed by my ear, which causes me lots of problems. Furthermore, sometimes some random places are just being pushed without me doing it. It did some calls abroad and liked my ex's picture lol. So now I'm not going to waste my time and have my screen changed to the same problem screen, I will just spend my money to get to the capital of my state to visit original Apple Store and spend 150$ more, because I'm done with these problems with 149$-cost changed screen. They also told me they can't do a refund, even though they did really not a good job, so I don't even hope to get my money back. Don't recommend to anyone. Better go to the Apple Store.
I update this review after 3 years because I saw I never told that I also got shout on by an older man (I was 20 atm and he like 30-35) when I asked to stay in the store and watch my phone getting repaired (it was like 3d time I came because of having problems with their Chinese screens with a price...

Agree with the vendor here. First, I don't think that you are going to find a "New" S3 for 150 without a new 2 year contract, but cool...if you do, you should go that route. You could get newer devices than an S3 though. Second, having performed similar repairs myself, $30 for labor seems very fair, especially since these guys have to pay for some overhead (store rental, workers/helpers, insurance, electricity, etc.) and that's awesome because you can just walk into the mall to get your phone fixed; otherwise it will just get trashed or you may have to send it off to god knows where for who knows how long and you may or may not ever see it again. You also get at least a 30 day warranty. Perhaps you need to adjust your expectations a bit. Go on line and price check the part that needs to be replaced. If iFix's price is for the digitizer, screen and glass which is a common way to make this particular repair...that price seem very fair. If the vendor is supplying OEM (Original Equipment) glass only, that price is high, but you need to understand...the glass is not just held in by screws, you need special tools and skill to properly remove the component and likely need to completely disassemble the device. This process is extremely tedious. If it was an easy parts swap, you wouldn't have gone to them for pricing would you? You could have just done it yourself. Sometimes our expectations don't line up with reality and I think that's what's happened here. For the record, I am not affiliated with this business in anyway. Chill Bro, if you don't want to spend the money to repair an outdated device, just move on...
Read moreFirst I would like to say I am commenting anonymously as I do not want my personal business involved. However I do not know how this company stays in business, I recently secret shopped this location using an iPhone 6+ for a screen repair. The technician quoted me $80.00 + tax, which is higher than other higher rated companies, within just a few hours of having this phone repaired it began having issues. I brought the phone to a competitor who allowed me to observe the opening and repair process (which they furnished for free because of how badly I was taken advantage of by these people). Immediately upon opening the phone, both shields for the battery/charging cable flex, and the LCD/digi/FFCF/HB were missing along with their associated screws. My battery that I had, had replaced in the past appeared to also be physically damaged with a fold mark in it, and the aftermarket pull tabs replaced with some kind of yellow/clear epoxy. The technician and I did some researching and found these guys are regularly charging $30 dollars more than competing stores in the area, while using $8-16 dollar parts from a company called Mengtor. Think twice before you let these guys hack up your phone. Thankfully this device is only important as a device that gets used for these situations, and the technician at the competing store was able to get everything working again with a premium quality 6+ screen, and cut me a great deal on an Apple service...
