Beware if there is any chance you will need to cancel. Hopefully someone will learn from our mistake booking with them.
We booked through vrbo last August, paid $1650 plus another $670 directly to vrbo for processing fees and few months later they called us to say our unit was sold and gave us options to rebook, we did and signed a new lease. No discount offered because we would be moving to a smaller unit in another portion of the resort. A few days ago we found out a family member couldn’t go and started the process to cancel.
Unfortunately they told us they were withholding $500 as per our contract to cancel, plus another $423 or so dollars because they paid that to the travel insurance company. I never received anything from the travel insurance company so I had to google it from the contract, only to find out the company was bought out and hold for them to tell me I couldn’t cancel the insurance because Luxury Beachrentals opened the policy for us. After going back and forth with luxury beach rentals - see emails. I called CSA or Generali as it’s called now, and they told me I couldn’t cancel, but I could try to file a claim but the travel insurance bought for me wasn’t a cancel for any reason type of insurance . So now we are not going on a vacation and out close to 1k. The reservation isn’t who answered the phone did not meet my frustration seeking additional answers with any help, called me hun ( which was brushed off as she’s “southern” - I’m from Virginia, but I don’t call people hun when I’m helping them and they are having a rough time” and then proceeded to lie to me that the $500 goes to compensate the owner of the condo for lost wages - when we booked for Memorial Day week at Myrtle beach and canceled mid February. They will rebook easily, but typically we don’t do this as a family, and now we are out hard earned money. I only book hotels typically and I’ve learned my lesson that travel insurance should be booked by myself and not a rental companies that’s a...
Read moreWe rented 4906 Salt Creek Court with this rental company. We always stay at North Hills either through VRBO or the Resort, so the location is great, near the beach and places to eat. The house is big and fairly clean, except for all the outside furniture that definitely needs to be replaced or pressure washed because they were very dirty, we didn't want to sit on any of it. ENSURE YOU READ ALL THE RULES prior to renting this home. When we arrived on Saturday, both trash cans were so full, the top wouldn't close and they weren't emptied until Tuesday morning. This should be emptied prior to another customer arriving. You get charged a $250.00 cleaning fee but according to the rules 1. You're required to bring all the sheets, pillow cases, towels, and wash cloths to the third floor washing machine (I guess that's why the elevator is there), empty out all the trash cans and put them in the outside trash cans, which they don't empty until Tuesday morning, and your informed that you may be charged a excessive cleaning fee, which is what? We vacuumed, swept, and cleaned the house better than what we found it so they wouldn't have any excuse to charge us an excessive cleaning fee. If you have a full house, it can be time consuming doing all this. We should be enjoying our vacation, not stripping beds, throwing out trash, and still getting charged a $250.00 cleaning fee. We were there a week and on occasion, it took 24 hours for someone to contact us back, especially after hours and on Sunday. The location is great and if you don't mind doing all the things I described above and obeying all the rules (again, read them), this place is perfect, especially...

This was the first time since 2012 that all of my kids could go on a vacation at the same time. Since the oldest is married, I wanted a 3 bedroom condo so everyone could have their privacy. The master bedroom was huge, the bathroom even bigger. The other room with a king bed was actually 2 twins put together but it worked for my daughter and her hubby. Last bedroom had 2 full size beds and worked perfect for my other two daughters. The open living room/kitchen area was awesome. Enough seating for everyone at the table, living room area or the balcony. This condo was easy to get to and easy for parking. A few things that I wish I knew before we went are 1. Both a coffee pot and a Keurig. I thought just a Keurig. 2. There are two garages, park in the northern one on the 5th floor. Condo is 2nd from garage door. 3. Bring box of garbage bags if you making any food in the condo. 6 of us went through a lot of garbage. 4. You get the one nice umbrella with 2 chairs on the beach but it was really hot so we bought another umbrella. Bring them if you got them! I didn't do any but you would need the HE type of laundry soap if you bring it. The only thing that we found incorrect during our entire stay was that our parking passes had the wrong leaving date on them and the front desk quickly corrected that for us....otherwise everything about this condo...
