We went here for the first time today and overall it is a really neat place, the jungle gym area for the kids is super cool. They have an area for bigger kids and little kids. I took away a couple stars because upon entering things seemed a little hectic as something just broke and shattered on the floor in front of the check in desk and then after signing the waivers the girl who was checking us in randomly ran away to the back and another girl walked up and said she thinks maybe she is sick… it was a little unsettling as I’m bringing my kids somewhere to play and if employees are sick they should be home not at work where they could be getting others sick. As most moms, I’m already iffy bringing my kids places like this because you’re never sure if they get cleaned properly or if they’re a germ fest 😅 I didn’t get a chance to ask if they clean the ball pit balls or play area and how often that’s done, but I would be curious to know. Because of the craziness upon entry, I don’t think we got to full rundown on how the whole place works, I feel like I had to ask lots of questions.. we had to complete 2 different transactions because parents do need to purchase socks to go in the play area with the children and we weren’t told that initially. They do not let you bring your own drinks or snacks and their drinks and food are a little pricey, although they have a wide variety of options.
Another thing I noticed is there are a TON of employees working here. Everywhere you look, you see employees just sitting around or talking to each other… this isn’t a bad thing but I’m sure it’s not cheap to staff of those people and they don’t even seem to be working 🫣 having someone with great enthusiasm at the entrance would really create a great vibe.
On a positive note… this place has great potential and with a few changes I feel like it could really be a big hit in the area.. the dinosaurs are a cool touch and I liked that the music wasn’t loud or overwhelming. They had a cool gift shop area and both my girls had a great time playing.
I’m not sure if we will go back yet but we may give this place another shot in a few weeks in hopes we have a better...
Read moreIf I had to use one word for a review here, it would be "glitchy". The business model is an hourly charge that starts as soon as a card is swiped at a game, and keeps running in between games.
The problem we ran into, especially at the virtual laser tag, was the VR headsets were constantly glitching and the employees were struggling to fix the glitches.
When they worked, it was a lot of fun. But it seemed like there was a glitch on every single game we played. So much of the hour we paid for was spent either setting up the game, or fixing glitches in the games.
The manager was nice enough to add 10 minutes to 1 card, but there were 4 of us, and they wouldn't allow more than one person to play at the same time on that card, so it really didn't help out all that much.
The time also continues to count down, even if you're in line waiting to play, so while the employees were figuring out glitches on other people's games, our time was running down as well. The pay by the hour, no matter how long the line was, or how many glitches there were really didn't sit well with me and left me feeling like I didn't get my money's worth.
Would not recommend until they get the glitches fixed or find a more fair business model then by paying...
Read moreInteractive Experience Unleashed has a lot of potential and definitely some highlights, but also areas that need attention.
The kids’ area is fun with plenty to do at a very affordable price, and the food prices are reasonable, which makes visits easy on families. I also hope they consider adding an annual pass option in the future, which would be a great value for frequent visitors.
That said, there are some concerns. The air conditioning struggles, and it can get uncomfortably hot. The gravel-style rubber flooring combined with grippy socks creates a tripping hazard and already seems to be breaking down—my son ended up with skinned knees both times we’ve visited, and one section of the floor already has a hole, which could be dangerous. Adding hand sanitizer stations would also be a big improvement.
On the operations side, I noticed employees didn’t always check whether cards were tapped for the ball pit area, and the slide requiring an inner tube could use staff oversight so that one child doesn’t monopolize the tube while others wait. Finally, having public WiFi would be a helpful addition for parents.
Overall, it’s a fun and affordable place for kids, but a few facility and safety updates would really improve...
