I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share my recent experience at your store, which I believe warrants your attention.
During my visit, I approached the meat counter and requested to have four chicken breasts sliced thinly to prepare chicken cutlets. The staff member assisting me informed me that he could not accommodate my request because the chicken was on sale. I explained that I was willing to pay the regular price and simply needed the meat sliced thinly, as I do not have the tools to do so at home. Despite my explanation, my request was declined.
This interaction was disappointing, especially considering there were five employees behind the counter at the time. It seemed that assisting with a simple request like slicing chicken breasts should be manageable. My wife and I left feeling frustrated and undervalued as customers.
Additionally, I have noticed that prices at your store are very high, which I understand may be due to various factors. However, when coupled with service that feels unaccommodating, it becomes challenging to justify continued patronage.
I am sharing this feedback in the hope that it will lead to improvements in customer service and overall shopping experience. I appreciate your time and attention to...
Read moreeh.....I'm from Michigan and we stopped here for a dinner. The selection is limited, meat is priced ok; everything else is overpriced. 4 hamburger buns $4(not artisanal; just plain white buns). So, we had to go to the grocery store to get sides and affordable buns. Next we purchased 2 cheesey burgers and 2 sausages. We just made the burgers. It was tasty; but here is the catch.....the cheese is ONLY on the outside of the burger; its rolled in grated cheese. How do you think that will cook? HORRIBLE. The pan is burnt with cheese; the outside of the burger is burnt due to the cheese and the inside is raw. The pan is RUINED and the burger is RAW. In Michigan the cheese is mixed through the entire burger; this way if SOME cooks away, there is still more on the inside. Next, I'm assuming the burger is 80%/20% as the burger was half the size of purchase by the time it was fully cooked. So, our burgers that looked amazing in the meat counter, weren't so user friendly. Def not a good deal. They tasted fine. A bit greasy and no cheese; plus a ruined pan (I even added butter as we went to prevent the burning and sticking to no avail. The cheese on the outside is just not...
Read moreWe visited The Salty Butcher for the first time yesterday in search of a Christmas goose. We were unable to find any local shops with fresh geese. We walked in fully expecting to be told âsorry, we canâtâ. Mike and Wendy went completely out of their way to find us a Christmas goose and have it here before Christmas Day. We purchased some Duck breasts and an entire bag full of amazing food, including homemade pimento cheese and house made pork rinds. It was less than $50 for everything we purchased! We even found some beautiful multi-colored carrots to roast for dinner. It immediately felt like taking to old friends and we found so many local, regional favorites at The Salty Butcher. Everyone working is so knowledgeable and helpful, ready to share their knowledge, and so, so kind. Prices are also reasonable, comparable to local higher end grocery stores, and the quality of their products are impeccable. We canât wait to make The Salty Butcher our regular butcher shop and...
