ZERO STARS.. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND EXPERIENCE AND GO ELSEWHERE... A friend and I both went to a timeshare presentation for BLUEGREEN properties in February 2020. As a part of our package. We got to stay at a BLUEGREEN resort of our choosing for a "free" 7 day stay....We chose to go to myrtle beach- no choice in where they booked us, we just assumed the hotel would be atleast decent.
Firstly, the entire process was a hot mess and all lies.. our free room ended up costing us around $700 total.. they wanted a $150 deposit from both parties (=$300) then an additional $100 from both parties ($200) for idk what...then additional charges for ??????... they reserved our room incorrectly and sent our details to some resort in Florida, they didn't give us check-in information until ONE DAY before our arrival... oh and to top it off, we were told due to covid there will be no staff to assist us during our stay.... they left our room key in a drop box (with EVERY OTHER GUESTS INFORMATION) connected to a piece of paper ((THAT ANYONE COULD HAVE GRABBED)... And of course it was an ACTUAL OLD GOLD KEY that was jagged and worrn and hardly worked in the door and wouldn't lock the top lock.
we get in the room, of course it's outdated-- yellow cigarette grunge curtains, old green carpet, mold on walls, stains on room walls and bathroom, etc etc.... I decided to make the most of the trip and get in the shower to just relax... well guess what!?? The hot water wasn't working in my room...ran cold for 10 minutes.... reported it to the office and someone got back with my friend and I and informed us we could stay in room 303 or move to room 301 (as long as the water works on that room)- luckily it did, so we moved.
I will admit the new room was an upgrade from the last but still had the shabby curtains and disgusting carpet....
Again, I decided to make the most of the trip but then my friend randomly gets a charge on her card for $200 for a room safety deposit which they stated would be refunded as long as the room was kept intact ...
We were asked to clean our own room and put things back into place (WE DID).. but when we arrived home, my friend was still charged $55 for a room cleaning charge... WHEN WE CLEANED OUR OWN ROOM... and it was NEVER mentioned that we would be charged for our FREE stay...
The pool was outdoors and disgusting, could tell it hasn't been cleaned lately, I couldn't enter the office or lobby because there was no staff available So i peered in through the blinds and the "front office/ lobby" looked like a scene straight from the 70's.
I'm absolutely disgusted and disturbed by the way BLUE GREEN resorts treat their customers. I would NEVER recommend any of there resorts, especially not ocean villa.
This company is an absolute joke..... the story above doesn't even cover all the issues.... SAVE YOUR MONEY AND HAVE A BETTER TRIP AT...
Read moreThe worst time share i have ever been at.Booked through RCI and was totaly taken back by what we walked into. I don't know where they took the pictures from but it was nothing like what we walked into. The hall way was very narrow, not much more than 2 feet. there was a table that had 2 chairs and 2 benches and that was shoved up against the wall reducing the passageway to less than 2 feet. The furniture was extremely dated, the kitchen stove looked like it was from the 80's the oven lined with foil. The furnace/air unit looked like it had not seen a vaccumm in at least a year. The place was musty smelling. There was no person on site, only an emergency number to call but no one answered. We had to spend the night in beds that were very uncomfortable, and that were suppose to be queen size, but found another resort the next morningI would not recommend this "place" it is certainly not a "resort" by no means to...
