I went in to Mens Wearhouse Myrtle Beach last night to buy 2 Tommy Hilfiger suits. 1 blue that I loved & 1 grey that I was not sure about. I was not sure if I wanted to buy the grey suit or not so I asked Lisa could I pay over the phone tomorrow if I decide that I want both. She said no. She said that they don't have the blue so they can hold the grey suit that they have in my size in stock & pull the blue suit from another store to arrive in 7 days or less & I can pay when I come in to be fitted. So, today I called & decided to buy both suits. I spoke w/ Lisa Bach whom I had worked w/ the previous night. I told her that I was nervous about how long it would take to please verify that it would arrive in a week or less. She put me on hold to switch computers to see how far away the store that had it in my size was. Some how her manager Alicia got on the phone w/ a super rude tone & in a raised irritated voice said "It is Mens Wearhouse policy to pay for the suits in advance & we order it to arrive w/n a week. If we pull it from another store before you purchase it then it will take 3 - 4 weeks. I said I have purchased over $15,000 since 2001 at Mens Wearhouse & know the is NOT your policy. Furthermore, that is the opposite of what Lisa told me last night & again today. She said "Lisa just straight told me that she told you it was a 3 - 4 week wait if not paid. I said that is a lie & very untrue statement. In fact put ask Lisa to get back on the phone & verify w/ me that she told you that. Lisa got on the phone & verified that she did NOT say that & that I was correct. I am so upset at this point by being jerked around when I am spending $700 for a suit, plus shipping plus alterations etc. that with tax I will spend $850....just to be treated like a jerk by the manager that was not even involved in the conversation. I called Corporate Customer Service & spoke w/ Tamika agent TC36 & she was AWESOME!!!!! Tamika confirmed that the Myrtle Beach store manager Alicia was not telling the truth about the ordering policy. I knew already she was a liar because she said Lisa told her that she told me last night that I had to wait 3-4 weeks if I did not pay. Mens Wearhouse is a great company. I obviously love their products by the amount of money that I have spent there in the last 18 years. But the customer service from the manager at that store was just awful. I could always feel it when in the store & felt it severely today over the phone. Maybe she was overly stressed due to high school kids having 5 proms this weekend & all but that is no reason to lie to a customer that spends over $15,000 w/...
Read moreWe went in on Sunday just after the store opened. We saw 2 customers in the store and 3 salesmen. None of the salesmen even acknowledged us. One of the salesmen came to the front counter to take in a suit that someone was returning. That person came in the door after we did. We went over and stood at the counter waiting on him to finish with that customer. After he finished he turned and walked towards the back of the store still not acknowledging us. After he got about halfway to the back, he turned and said he would be right back. This acknowledgment came 30 minutes into us being there and should have happened as he finished with the customer, not after he got to the back of the store. However, he never came back we waited another 15 minutes by the register when three more people came in returning suits. A different salesman came up and said, âIs anyone just returning suits?â One man said he was. The salesman motioned him around us and proceeded to take the suit in. At that point, I began searching on my phone to see if any other stores in the area carry the suit that we were looking for. When he finished waiting on that man, he told the next man behind us to come on up. My wife said, âExcuse me, I just have a question.â In a disgusted tone he just said, âWhat?â She asked if that was the only Calvin Klein suits that they had which was located next to the register. He said, âYes, itâs a slim fitâ and then proceeded to wait on the next customer. I told my wife that I had failed that Belks in the mall carry Calvin Klein suits. We left and one across the parking lot to Belks where we found what we needed for less than half the price!
We had originally gone to Menâs Wearhouse because we had to coordinate suits for people between three different states for a wedding. The person in Pennsylvania had gotten his suit from Menâs Wearhouse in Pittsburgh. He sent us what he had so that we could match it at the store here. They were not professional and their suits were grossly overpriced! We will not be back to that store!
If anyone needs a suit, I suggest going to Belks in the mall and spend...

Process of getting fitted, finding what we wanted wasn't terrible. Unfortunately the suits we wanted to rent were very limited on sizing, so we were required to upgrade to a similar tux to fit our needs.
Two days before the wedding, we had someone pickup all 9 of our tux's for our group. Upon returning home, we realized only 7/9 tux's were present, and someone had to return to pickup the other two.
Upon trying them on, multiple didn't fit properly, some weren't even close (one guy had his sleeves about 6+ inches too short, unacceptable...) on wedding day, this particular person had to return to men's warehouse at 11am to have his tux altered multiple times. The person who was supposed to do the alterations was late to work which caused a delay, and after measuring once again, the sleeves were still too short and had to do yet another alteration on the spot. This caused this Groomsman an extra trip an hour plus from the venue and was very close to being late to the wedding.
Multiple pocket squares were missing, someones vest button was hanging by a thread and popped off prior to the wedding, and I'm sure there's other annoyances that I'm not thinking of at the moment.
Best part of all? After contacting men's warehouse, nothing was offered for our troubles. I talked to the store manager directly, while she was supportive and apologetic, not a single thing was offered for our troubles. Just bad customer service when you're expected to offer a premium product with premium price tags.
I'm usually not one to write crazy reviews, I can deal with an issue here or there, but it was just constant issue after issue and simple things were overlooked. Your wedding day is not the day that you want to deal with service like this. Men's warehouse left a lot to be desired from...
