Went here on Wednesday June 25th 2025 with my parents to grab some much needed lunch. This was our first time at this location, but been to a Red Robin before. Red Robin essentially has specialty burgers, although they do have salads and chicken dishes as well as pizza! Place has plenty of parking. Upon arriving, we were greeted by a host who sat us near a door where a large party was finishing up eating. We didn't mind however. Long Booth was comfortable. Before long, our server Sarah greeted us with a smile, explained the menu offerings, answered our questions respectfully and politely. She was great because throughout our visit she checked on us, refilled our waters, and was polite. Service helps make the best food too! We started with 3 waters, and my dad ordered a bottomless root beer float- which is essentially a root beer with ice cream mixed in.For entrees, I ordered the Avacado Bacon Burger M with sweet potato fries, my mom ordered the BBQ burger with house salad balasmic, and my dad ordered a burger with a house honey mustard. Our polite server informed us that sides are bottomless, meaning one can request more, or switch it out for another one, as long as it is not a premium side like mac and cheese. Later on both of my parents ordered brocolli, and steak fries. They had both Garlic brocolli and regular, in which both were good as i tasted them. I also enjoyed my burger and fries- despite the burger being a little messy. After my food, i got a chocolate milkshake in which i enjoyed too! Creamy and delicious! got the check in a timely manner, and paid via a gift card, and put the rest on a credit card. Left a cash tip for the waitress, whom i thought was great!...
Read moreWe arrived around 8pm. Ordered two Donato's pizzas and a burger, and two shakes. Having had an actual Donato's pizza 8 days prior (before I moved to the beach), and also working at two different locations in HS, I will say it is not the same. Edge to edge thin crust pizzas is what makes Donato's pizza. The kitchen staff obviously was not trained by a donatos employee. In Ohio, each pie has a build ticket, and get prepared on a digital scale, with the build ticket providing weights of each ingredient (been like that since at least the late 90s). That's how each pizza (in theory) is identical when it arrives to your table. While they have all the doughs, except the thicker and hand tossed, they do not have the "thick" sauce. Also known as the "sweet" sauce, it just makes the pizza 10x better. The pizzas were good, but if you're local to a real Donato's, do yourself a favor and head there. If you're in the MB area, the best place for a Donato's experience (better, IMO) is Massey's Pizza (another Columbus chain) about 20 mi south of 501 right off of business 17. I was told that Jim Grote, founder of Donato's, used Massey's as inspiration for the first Donato's in Columbus.
The burger was actually very good. The steak fries were undercooked and limp. I at the small ones that were cooked, but no more.
The shake was mediocre. Honestly, BK has a better oreo shake. And it's far cheaper.
Our waitress was either preoccupied, serving the entire restaurant, or was new. While she got around to getting everything eventually, it seemed we were an...
Read moreLet me start this off with the fact that I used to be employed here, I met my husband here, and I am sort of biased toward it. I met a lot of lifelong friends while I was employed here, and I love coming back because we're still treated like family. This review is only about this visit. I think a lot of people (myself included) will review places when we've had a bad visit so I want to make sure I talk about the good visits, too. We were sat (party of 6 plus a sling for my infant nephew) in a very timely manner. Our server was Tripp, and he was very professional and polite, I could tell he had been trained properly. He kept our drinks filled, made sure our apps came out as the same time as our food (because my weird mom and sister requested that for whatever reason lol) and was just very pleasant to talk to and be around. Good hire! A manager came by and said hi to us, his name is Craig and he actually used to work in the kitchen with my husband and has just grown so much into his role as a manager. He stands tall and is very professional even though we're friends, everyone still treated me like a first time guest. I love coming here and I've been told by random people how much they love this specific location when they go on vacation to Myrtle Beach. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this is the place to eat. The prices are lower, too! There are really large but inexpensive items if you're looking to save a buck or two. Great visit,...
