Let's first start by saying I've never had a bad steak from the LongHorn. Steaks are phenomenal and usually made to perfection. The service was little to Excellent, subpar at best. Now let me clarify the service. By service, I mean server, dinner ware, and food preparation. We had brought to the attention of the server our glasses had dried up food on the exterior as well as the interior. You could see food particles floating in side the bottom of the glass. When asked to replace the drinks, the Server proceeded to tell us that she didn't notice the food particles and that she "only served the drinks" and that she did not prepare them, shifting the responsibility to some unnamed employee behind the scenes. We insisted she replace the drinks before we ordered only to receive a little southern attitude. When the server returned, she had our drinks in plastic to go cups. I then asked the server if she was asking us to leave the restaurant and that we would like the glasses drinks are usually served in. She didn't want to bring us glasses. I insisted to speak to a manager at that point. We then proceeded to order some starters, i.e. French Onion Soup, which were not hot and Luke warm at best. I requested to have the soup reheated or replaced at the servers discretion. Another soup was brought out, but this time the cheese was not fully melted. At this point I really didn't have an appetite for soup and just ate the salad. Eventually the manager showed up. We explained our experience to the manager and they decided to take off the 2 teas and soups off our ticket and threw in a desert at no cost. The manager was appalled with the dinner ware and apologized and assured us they would tell the kitchen to ensure there were no food particles by double rinsing the glasses before serving them and ensuring the machine filter was replaced or cleaned. The steak was great and after the discussion with the manager things seemed to be more enjoyable. It takes just one bad server to not only ruin a night out, but leave a negative impression of an establishment on a restaurant customer. I think some additional training and counseling is required for this employee. I know the service industry is hurting for people and good workers who want to be there are hard to find, however, to accept substandard performance only leads to a negative impression which in the long run less profit, especially when customers have other options. Longhorn isn't the only...
Read moreWell it was Christmas Eve and not to busy we got in right away but our waitress was very slow getting to our table. Her name was Sarah and I don’t think she wanted to be there. She finally got there with our drinks and we order our appetizer witch was pretty fast but our table of 4 was all out of drinks and she took for ever to bring us more. Then we ordered our food and I got Steak and lobster and by the time it got there it was cold. So I told Sarah and she said she had to bring a manager to let them know well she was so worried about other drinks then she finally got Ethan and he was great he took my steak and asked if I needed a new Lobster tail since mine was cold. Then he came back and told me that it would be 6 min before the new lobster would be done witch is fine with me. Well Sarah was told by me that I was waiting for my lobster tail and she said ok and walked away since we where all done and still no lobster tail finally I asked someone else and they brought it to me since Sarah was not bring it. My mom ordered the bone in ribeye and it was Such a care cut it was hard to even eat it or cut it and Sarah wouldn’t even no because she never asked how our food was. My boyfriend prime rib was great and the soup I had was really good so I gave it a 2 stars and Ethan the manager was very nice. We took 2 hrs there because everything we asked Sarah for took longer then it should have when there was not to many tables from what we saw she only had us and table of two and another table with two. She was to busy in the back doing who knows what. The table behind us that had her got 25% of since she forgot to give them there food the manager had to get it for them. Very disappointed we have gone to longhorn for my boyfriend birthday and had a great time and the waitress was very happy to be there and she even took our picture so we thought we would take my mom there but never again because Sarah was not a good waitress and was not excited to be there at all witch is understanding since it was Christmas Eve but she could have moved faster at least and since it was Christmas and we are nice we gave her a 5 dollars tip but we won’t be going back for how Expensive it is and not...
Read moreExtremely disappointed with the Longhorn at Myrtle Beach. We chose to go there because we have always had excellent experience eating at Longhorns throughout the US. This location definitely misses the mark. Seeing an empty restaurant during lunch at a peak time should have been our sign it wasn't going to be a good experience. After finally finding someone to seat us, we waited and waited for a waitress. When the waitress finally arrived she took the drink orders. Well that took 10 minutes for drinks. We asked for bread and she said the last loaf was just given so it would be 15 minutes before more would come. We decided to go ahead and place our orders since we knew if bread wasn't ready we might be sitting there a long time. A few members in our party asked for certain requests like no dipping sauce on a sandwich, salad dressing on the side, and a few items to be left off a salad due to allergies. The waitress disappeared after that and we sat there for a good 20 minutes hoping the bread would come out or salads that came with meals. Guess that was wishful thinking. We were all starving at this point and had empty drink glasses. A few other employees walked by our table but never asked if we needed anything. We tried to get the attention of one but they kept walking. At this point we were frustrated and hungry. Finally our waitress came back with our food but no bread. Well 3 of the 4 meals where completely wrong. A sandwich saturated in sauce, undercooked chicken, and a salad that consisted only of lettuce covered in dressing that wasn't even the one requested on the side. The waitress was off again before we could say things were incorrect. Since everyone was starving at this point we tried to eat off all of our plates just to get some food. Well the waitress reappeared with the check of all things. She said did we not like our food. At this point we didn't even know where to start but said the entire experience was unacceptable and we wanted the manager. The manager came and did apologize but still charged us for 3 of the 4 meals. Won't be going back to this location anytime soon. A lot...
