Mission Thrift — Local services in Nags Head

Mission Thrift is a wonderful thrift store with extremely nice, courteous, and welcoming staff. On my visit, which was my first time ever at the Outer Banks as well, l was greeted upon entering the store by, not one, but two, friendly and warm voices. And, because it was near Christmas, they had all kinds of delicious and mostly homemade cookies and treats which they freely offered! The store is magical and has so much to offer, not the least of which is good old-fashioned kindness, warmth and hospitality. I was there when the wife of the owner came in and started screaming at the cashier. The place had customers who were hiding behind the shelves they were so embarrassed to see this spectacle. The owners wife was so out of line talking to the employee in front people this way. If this is what they do in front of people, how do they treat their employees in private? I will never go back to this store and enable toxic management like this. They don't need my money, they need a seminar...

The lady in charge who greeted us as soon as we walked in was so sweet and helpful. We had never been there before and she explained where things were organized and we were looking for something in particular and she helped us think about it and see if she had any. Such a sweet lady, very sorry i didnt catch her name. We ended up getting a beautiful jar with fish on it for a gift and it was priced pretty decently. Would absolutely come back the next...
