Viva Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Nags Head

My granddaughter suggested we stop here, I have a limited diet I can eat due to illness, they impressed me, the server taking order was patient and friendly, even with my many questions .. I ordered the first order 1 ". 3 burrito special with Spanish rice & beans..,#2. "The 3 chicken loaded soft tacos with a extra not included side of... very tasty spanish rice, #3 ordered , for my 10 year old granddaughter.. had her favorite (Off the Kids Menu) ... the cheese quesadilla, with a included side of chips and " cheese queso " her favorite, and lastly.. with my many diet restrictions I finally chose a last order #4. The Chimichanga, that included a side of Beans& Rice..it was a special order because it was done with only Steamed Zucchini ( btw: most places premix the onions, peppers ect...,they didn't, awesome) and thank you!! and I ordered a side of " delicious Guacamole " ..no issue about the items I asked not to be on it: cheese, onions, ect.. she was so patient and kind.. with a total of 4 people to eat this takeout .. a cost of under $40 bucks cant be beat.. was done in a timely manner, tasted wonderful, ( oh not to leave out the Fresca Salsa , yumm.. and not to spicy) and I can guarantee I will return. It is next door to Mike's Subs in Nags Head, & I admit I looked over many times, I'm glad not so this tine.. I will return and hope to continue to do so.. great Authentic Mexican food.. cooked to order with a smile, now.. you cant fault that? ... Looking forward to my...

By far the most rude staff and tasteless Mexican food I have had in last 5 years. When we went there there was no other customer in the restaurant. Wish we took that clue and left before paying. The staff was very rude and talked in a way that they didn’t want us there. When I asked for a cup for water the staff said we will charge $0.99 for the cup for water. Another party showed up after us and they gave the cups to them without any charges?? The beans, rice and salsa were pretty tasteless. Their queso and sour cream looked and tasted like milk. The paper on which the food was served was thin and started to dissolve due to all the queso and sour cream and you could find yourself eating paper half way through your meal. The amount of beans and rice on nachos platter was too little and we didn’t dare bothering the staff for more. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Don’t be fooled by low price. It...

First, I would like to start with the friendly service that was given by the two women working. I happen to be pregnant so the mood for something changes quite quickly, however, they had no issue with that. They changed the order and we said what we wanted. Second, we didn’t get all our food together, but my Lordy was it delicious. It was like any other restaurant with appetizers and what not. Thirdly, their food was beyond delicious. I’m not from here, I’m from Arizona. So, eating here made it feel somewhat at home. Finally, the entire building is spotless and very very clean (INCLUDING THE BATHROOMS)!
