JACK — Local services in Nantucket

My husband and I were in Nantucket for a few days for our mini-honeymoon. The day after our wedding we found our cat, Jack, in distress. Thousands of dollars and a few days later, we learned cancer had spread to many of his organs and his kidneys were failing. With no available treatment we had to put him down and leave for our trip the next day.

While in Nantucket, we both independently noticed a bright “Jack” store sign - neither of us brought it up to one another to prevent the other from crying. We ultimately went to Jack on our last day to see if we could find a piece of jewelry to commemorate our boy and in doing so, we met the loveliest owner - Nancy. She helped me pick out a stunning bag covered in “Jack.” She even offered my husband his own Jack bag - a canvas gift bag to carry his belongings.

We both teared up on our walk to the ferry and were so moved by Nancy’s kindness and friendliness. Not to mention her stunning work! Already planning our next trip back to Nantucket and will be sure to return! Truly, a highlight...

I’m in absolutely enamored with this woman’s talent!!! As soon as I walked in the door, I knew my credit card was in trouble. Because I was in a rush, I had no time to even check out all the jewelry she makes as well as the bags. All her equipment is in the store and she’s a one woman show. she’s too modest! I love the name of her shop as it includes the first letter of her last name along with the ACK for Nantucket. Clever! If you’re ever waiting for the ferry and are looking for time to kill, check out her shop just to the left on Candle Street. I wanted everything in that store. Her attention to detail and quality is topnotch. Yes, I bought all these items. So cool! The small credit card zip size make great gifts. Even the bags she gives to put a handbag in are great! Nancy is one of a kind. Hands down my favorite shop to visit when on Nantucket. Nancy’s work is absolutely amazing. She helped me design my dream every day bag, and it could not be any more perfect.
