Jewel in the Sea — Local services in Nantucket

This was one of those experiences that seems great in the moment, but 5 minutes later seems like a mistake. My fiancée and I visited during a recent trip to Nantucket because she wanted one of the cape cod bracelets. Thinking it would be fun to have one from the island, we ventured in to the top rated shop on Google. We paid a premium (roughly 84% more) compared to if we bought the same jewelry from the same maker at a shop in Hyannis. If we hadn’t been on the vacation/island high, we probably would have walked at the inability of the sales associate to fasten the demo bracelet or properly ring up the purchase. We opted to have the item shipped to us since they didn’t have an appropriate size in stock when we visited. The additional shipping was $25 which resulted in UPS Ground shipping. The team at Jewel in the Sea has helped me with everything from custom pieces to gifts for friends, children and even myself! My husband got me a beautiful ring after having three children and when number 4 came along they were able to add to the original ring. Meg has helped me pick out a beautiful 13th birthday present for my oldest and patiently waited while my younger daughter sat there with one pierced ear trying to decide if she wanted to get the other ear done (she did!). Amazing store and staff. I have been back over and over. They have done an amazing job with repairs. They have found me a hard to get watch and never charged me for time spent tracking it down. They help me thru designing and creating an absolutely stunning wedding ring. And any time my wife or I goes in even to just window shop they always offer to clean the rings for us.
